I think so. Like..

Deceptive Advertising for saying there will be a buddy list and such and many other dropped things. But if you look around on some of the sites that made Battlefield 2 they still state all those features.

For all we know the featyres they stated could have been to mislead us into thinking that game was worth more then it was.

I'll be back with more after I do some research.

Here is what I have found.

Under both federal and state law, an ad is unlawful if it tends to mislead or deceive, even if it doesn't actually fool anyone.

Here are some examples:

Take control of over 30 land, sea, and air vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, hovercraft, fast attack vehicles, and fighter jets.

Full in-game community support including, buddy lists, stat tracking, live chat rooms, and in-game clan creation.

All the bold things were not in the game but are still all over the internet saying that they are in the game. We know they are not in there but do the new people? No they do not.

of course they are breaking the law, what big corperation doesn't? Will they be charged of anything? Of course not! America doesn't prosecute its rich and powerful people, only a slap on the wrist and "don't do that again". An easy law that EA breaks is a law that was created....a very long time ago. Basically it stats that workers will not be forced to work more than 40 hrs a week, and if they do, they shall be compensated with overtime pay. Lets see, EA games, 12 hr days, 7 days a week....hmmm 12 multiplied by 7.....

I'm not going to sue EA. Because..

1. Don't want to spend the needed cash.

2. Life will go on.

3. Battlefront II is out Tuesday.

I was just looking up this legal stuff because I'm bored and it may help somebody with real power to sue them.

EA isn't the only one that has broken laws in advertising. How about Lomac (Lock On: Modern Air Combat) System specs required. This is a trend in marketing.

A class action suit by all owners of the game with a good lawyer looking for money might work.

From page 23 of your manual, under the bold NOTICE:
Electronic Arts reserves the right to make improvements in the product described in this manual at anytime and without notice.

Those two paragraphs will shoot down any such lawsuit. :p

Improvements! EA did not make any improvements they lowered the game's value. They killed their own product with their so called improvements. If they wanted to improve the lowering of the game's value they did a good job.

I won't argue that point, but the fact is that EA can call removing vehicles or features in the game improvements if they wish. They can call any sort of change an "improvement", granted that does not make one so.
