Wow you guys whine so much it's not even funny. Just get in a fighter jet and go take out the bomber... It isn't that damn hard. Holy ****! I use the machine guns just like in 42. I rarely use the ATA missles in the jets. There inafective and lame so the machine guns are amazing. I don't inderstnad whats so hard about flying? I use my keyboard not even the mouse just keyboard.

The F-14 was an exception that didn't show up on enough maps to matter, and the reliance on a co-pilot to drop the bombs reduced their effectiveness drastically.

Not to mention, the F14 in DC was a piece of crap. The maingun was weak, the missiles were bugged and didn't seem to do ****. The only thing it had going for it, from the pilots point of view, was that it was the only jet that was as fast as the Mirage.

First off, I'd like to say, I've never gotten owned by any form of airpower. Killed repeatedly for no good reason, yes, but whether or not you get killed by a heli or jet is completely based on luck if the pilot is able to shoot down infantry or has a gunner. Owning implies it was humiliating, and I'm not humiliated about my bad luck, just extremely frustrated. Only one map with air power has an area in which you can't be killed by a jet or heli, and that's Dalian plants. Also, they're too fast to avoid as you would with a tank.

Great, so if the only way we can survive on the battle field is to get in a jet, why are we playing BF2 instead of a flight simulator?

Also what bugs me about airpower is that you can be the stupidest thing to ever walk this planet and still "own" in them. All you have to do is have enough experience to gauge where your bombs will land. I'm sorry but if I wanted a game that was nothing but experience and reflexes, I'd play pong or an old 2D platformer.

I dont want to fly, its that simple. Not one of the bf releases ever forced you to take to the skies in order to destroy an enemy plane, it probably wasnt the intention in BF2 either, but since the AA is bugged, people have little choice.
however, getting a plane would be rediculously hard on most maps, as there are already 5 people camping, and the enemy pilot is surely bombing the crap out of you. Not to mention what happens when your planes get stolen, we are suppost to bend over and agree that AA is fine and such? Please..

Maybe you told yourself so many times you actually started believing yourself..

First you agree with Kommander that Flying jets is harder than everything and whatever else he said, than you agree with Race that being a grunt is just as hard as a (in my opinion) a Pu$$y @$$ pilot flying around 200 feet above the ground where they are nice and safe, cuz they can't hack it with rounds flying by and actuals to face off with. No wonder you listen to SOAD, You're an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't care, I love owning people in the jets. Takes more skill to be a deadly pilot than anything else in the game, so that's why I love it! There's so much to deal with.

I'm an ace pilot when it comes to flying, or when it comes to avoiding enemy fire. I suck though with bombing and straffing....but damn if i can't fly under every bridge, spin through enemy fire and loop up behind that enemy jet......I just can't take the offensive.
