Wow.... this thread still going on? Get some practice on lan instead of whining about it. I used to feel a similar way about the attack helo's until I actually took some time to learn how to fly them.

While I've been known to smash a keyboard or two over the frustration of getting owned by airpower, I like the variety it adds and the option of switching it up here and there.

I think the aa turrets could be a little better..
maybe 4 missles and making them a bit faster... thats it...

besides that, I am an amater... about 3300global points.

I am NOT an airplane pilot... yet I think I mastered the helo...

ANYWaYS...
All I seen is pointless complaining... I personally have nothing against planes and Most of my gameplay will be on the ground with whatever I can grab... I rush and capture points.

To be on topic, I AM SAYING THAT PLANES ARE NOT KILLING THE GAME...

Yet I will agree that little fix patches should come out... such as slightly better aa, favorit servers in server list ...
(But wait... this is ea... we can all dream)

You have to capture spawn points, and its VERY rare that I get killed by a plane dropping bombs while capturing a point...

And my favorit map would be dragon valley 64 due to the 4 heli's

Air power sucks.

Jets and copters heal/re-arm by flying over an airfield. Any damage ground forces cause on them is easily repaired and they are back to kill the ground pounders. Jet targetting is just hit the circles.

Essentially, if your team has no air power to counter the enemy, then you are defenceless.

Ground pounders are essentially targets for the fly boys.

But nothing we say or do will change that. So if you can't beat them, join them.

I learnt how to fly and earned my aerial badge last night in about 25 minutes. I almost had my first heli kill too. I came so close to coliding with the heli that the pilot must of needed a clean pair of pants afterwards. :laugh:

Its ridiculously self-evident that the Jets are in a league of their own in this game:

- insta healing and re-arming seconds away
- indiscriminate wide area one shot kill attacks (vs infantry or armor) at the click of a button
- only threatened by other Jets and the very occasional AA shot

The scores of the pilots prove this without a doubt. Me? I just shrug and carry on with my ground work - if I really wanted to do something about it I'd practice flying fighters.

Armor whore? Prove it. Prove that I spend more time in average player who DEFENDS A FLAG. And is it the armor whores that get spawn killed on operation clean sweep? Is it the armor whores that get the sh*t shot out of them on Sharqi Peninsula because the MEC helicopter is hovering right your helpless base. That's what I thought.

And I'm one sided and narrow minded for not becoming what I hate (someone who waits the whole round at an airfield for nothing unless they teamkill) because I can tell you there are a lot of people with faster load times than me while your opened minded even though you blow right past my FIRST POST. You didn't even have half a clue WHAT you were responding to. You obviously just read the title, though maybe because reading the rest would outlast your attention span.
