Its ridiculously self-evident that the Jets are in a league of their own in this game:

- insta healing and re-arming seconds away
- indiscriminate wide area one shot kill attacks (vs infantry or armor) at the click of a button
- only threatened by other Jets and the very occasional AA shot

The scores of the pilots prove this without a doubt. Me? I just shrug and carry on with my ground work - if I really wanted to do something about it I'd practice flying fighters.

I wish I knew where ppl get the idea that jets can "insta-repair". It only proves they have never bothered to fly once nor bothered to learn any facts.
Jets absolutely DO NOT "insta repair" when they go to the airstrip. You may get a wrench turn or two if your fly slow and level. That's about 2 bars if your lucky... so if you get hit with one missle and are at 1/2 health it will take you 6 slow passes or so for you to get full health again. Far from an insta-heal, fool. Getting a full reload when you rearm is also a crap shoot most of the time, especially in a j-10.

Ok you people obviously have no idea what you are talking about....Since if you did you would realize that the repair is not that fast while flying over a runway/hanger...you only get like a bar or two per pass....and no shizzle a plane is a nightmare for ground pounders...look at the thing its a effen fighter jet....But when teams are balanced you will rarely notice the plane...since it will be dog fighting the other guys...

I’m no expert pilot but I have been giving it more and more a go and I'm finding that it while it isn’t the easiest thing it can be mastered....I have only spent 3 hours in a jet so I still have plenty more practice to go...but the blanket statement of them killing the game and then a obvious ARMOR WHORE arguing this point is just silly...

Armor whore? Prove it. Prove that I spend more time in average player who DEFENDS A FLAG. And is it the armor whores that get spawn killed on operation clean sweep? Is it the armor whores that get the sh*t shot out of them on Sharqi Peninsula because the MEC helicopter is hovering right your helpless base. That's what I thought.

And I'm one sided and narrow minded for not becoming what I hate (someone who waits the whole round at an airfield for nothing unless they teamkill) because I can tell you there are a lot of people with faster load times than me while your opened minded even though you blow right past my FIRST POST. You didn't even have half a clue WHAT you were responding to. You obviously just read the title, though maybe because reading the rest would outlast your attention span.

And let's put words my mouth since you can't do any real debating. The thread was "I'm so sick of air power ruining this game." Not "I'm so sick whores ruining this game." I don't give a **** whether people whore them or not, as long as they are being used they hurt the gameplay.

No it’s that you have no experience with the jets and you rent an apartment in Karkand with a garage for your tank....

You think the airplanes are invincible when you have flown one for a whopping 10 mins....please why you don’t try them out and see how not invincible they are... You discredit your argument about the AA with the amount of AA kills you have and the AA K/D ratio is just more proof...

Anyone comes in here with another opinion then yours and they are dumb, ape like, and have a negative IQ... you then go out and post a definition of what a whiner is... and you call this debate.... Your idea of debate is everyone agrees with you and there can not be any other rational explanation to you getting blown up in your tank whilst whoring away (note his almost 5 K/D with armor) then the jet being over powered...

Meh. I shot down 2 fighters, 2 blackhawks and a cobra in one round last night using AA.

The AA is fine. It's all about your timing.

I ****ed ~12 AA grunts in the ass with F-35's machinegun while ago and there was NOTHING they could've done to stop me. Sometimes they shoot back, though, but I don't understand why..

-stingers

Note that stingers are bugged, tend to track friendly's more then enemy's. I dont understand why jet pilots feel so good about themselves because they get a good score. I could understand if they were from a teamplay point of view, the whole close air support thing. But about your score.. please, obviously in denial :p

Yes sure. But what you listed for taking out the tank can usually be very easly taken out by the tank (any skilled tanker), with the exception of the Jet and Helo....The TOW a lot of the time ends in a draw...

And if they make the AA any better then the helicopters are screwed and no one will use them anymore... I really do not see how the Air power ruins the game... It really isnt even over powered... I personally have yet to been frustrated at a jet like I have at a tank or APC....

Making the AA more powerfull will only lead to helicopters having to mask their approuch and use "boom and zoom" tactics. Instead of hoving infront of flags racking up the infantry kills.. Remember it takes 2 missles to kill a helicopter, you can evade at least one missle with the flares, and maybe even 2 if the stinger operator is rushing things.

But i dont even want AA to be more powerfull, the damage the missles do is perfectly fine, they just dont TRACK properly, what is the use of having stingers when they miss a hovering chopper even from 10 meters away, to then teamkill/damage some-one far far away. Its just not right. Not that im that bothered with helicopters that much..

And its not that jets are overpowered, the AA just doesnt work :p

I see your point... The GLA seems to be the best AA...IMO...and the US AA just BLOWS....Then again the AA on Gulf of Oman makes it very hard sometimes impossible for anything air oriented... same with Dilian plant...in fact it just really depends on who is playing....

I can respect people who disagree with me, what I don't respect is people who clearly DO agree with me but try to argue for the other side because they want their precious, precious jet points. If you really didn't agree you'd be able to atleast argue with my FIRST POST.

Not that it matters to you, but I debunked this one already too. LOOK AT MY TEAM VEHICLE DAMAGE from before I finally realized how often these things hit friendlies. Chances are if your team has any air the sky you will get as much if not more team vehicle damage than kills for the enemy. If the only time AA could be garunteed to give you a good clean score is when you have no friendly pilots in the air, it's still underpowered. And that is the only time I use AA now, which also explains the ratio.

And as Raptor stated:

-Anti tank missles (an anti-tank soldier with cover is about an even match with an APC, mobile AA, or anything but a tank)
-c4 (it's not too hard to sneak up on a tank if you spawn close to it, I know from being on both sides of this)
-Apc's (these can easily destroy mobile AA but are child's play for a tank to destroy)
-tanks (the dominators of the armor world but no match for what is listed below)
-jets (how many times do you see a tank shoot down a jet? Now how many times do you see a jet blow up a tank?)
-helicopters (maybe once out of 6 times will a tank win a fight against a helo, if it has a very good driver)
-mines (once a jet is in the air it can bomb whereever it pleases)
-Tows (one shot from these will completely destroy an APC or mobile AA, and 2 shots will destroy a tank. These don't swerve off and hit friendlies, don't require time to lock, and are really easy to aim at a big target like a tank)

For jets.

-other jets (chances are the enemy's jets would rather spawn kill people at some base instead of fight another jet, and even so, it's an EVEN match)
-stingers (again, just one quick swirve to avoid these, and once you see the person manning the AA he's already dead)

You are well on your way of having a global K/D of 3 if you keep up the impressive armor stats....

Face it you are just complaining about something that really isnt that big of a deal in this game... I also dont like your tactics of debate to instantly belittle the other person because they dont see things they way you want them to be...

I also think you should spend a little more time in the planes before you bitch about them... Walk a little in a jet pilots shoes instead of just sitting there saying they are the uber whatever

I know you all probably think I'm just saying this because I'm not a pilot...maybe that's true, but here me out. Airpower is just ripping apart this game. If the other time has 1 more good pilot than yours, first off, any strategy or team work becomes impossible. If you are getting shot at by a sniper you can take cover in an area where he can't get you, and perhaps sneak up behind him. If you see a tank coming, you can run to an area where it can't get you. But when there's airpower in the game all you can do is get in the AA, get in another aircraft, or die. AA is luck as far as I can see, and airpower...well, what the heck kind of strategy or teamwork could you use there? Aircraft is just about aim and experience as far as I can see. Second, where's this rock paper scissors system EA speaks of? If air is paper, what are the scissors? AA misses 90% of the time, and gets a team kill another 7% for no logical reason. Meanwhile it just takes one quick swoop from the heli or jet and that AA is blown to bits. Worst of all is the ability they have to repair. If you damage a heli or jet (damage a jet, aren't I hiliarous), you can get it off your teams back for a few seconds, but get no credit for your help. Fourth, airpower has no reflection on the skill of who it kills, just on the one doing the killing, unlike infantry, tanks, and maybe even AA. It is just like artillery, you simply need to stay out of large crowds and hope to god you get lucky. I don't have anything against pilots. I don't blame them for using airpower while it is there, but the airpower is just taking so much out of the game.

And as for your first post...I find it humorous that you say other people have a negative IQ... you ever heard of paragraphs????

And I’m almost positive I have been debating this very first post through all of my posts...

I just do not see where the Airpower is sooooooooo over powered that it ruins the game...
