Have you ever been in seen to good pilots face each other? It is completely different compared to having a noob in the air. Jets and choppers are the 2 hardest vehicles to learn and master. That includes bombing and dogfighting. Lets not even add land ind evading ground AA.

You see someone dominating in the air? Tell the newbs on ur team who think they are good pilots to let a real one get up there.

Probably, but once they've mastered the initial week of training (or whatever it takes) they are unstoppable. It's not like armor. The difference between someone with months of practice in armor and someone with a weeks practice is a lot harder to tell than in air power. Actually I'm not sure where I'm going with this...I probably shouldn't try to debate when I'm hungry but I'll assume I just made a good point.

The best way to practice flying is formation flying, get one of you buddy on lan or something and practice following him. Don't go on public server and show off how much you suck.

Just played a server where the USMC stole both our jets on Daqing Oilfields...it was a slaughter. We couldn't move anywhere in a vehicle because it would be blown up. They had a great bomber who could hit you going full speed in a HUMVEE.

We got into AA vehicles and they were shot down within 30 seconds.

The round ended with like 170-0 - they had all bases and killed us.

This is what happens when you don't have pilots on your team.

Had to post because the attack choppers are getting silly now.You can't even move without them blowing the living poop out of you there's no real defence against them I use my nade launcer best I can but it really is gettting a pain in the backside.

Jeeps, AT missles.

Yeah.. i know you have to go out of your way to position jeeps and vans in covered positions.. but you can really hurt em, and you can destroy the cocky ones, aim for the cockpit and they are going down under sustained fire for any amount of time.

Of course, on maps like wake you can forget about it.

Chenzo and Clownstyle, you're both wrong about planes not being able to see troops on the ground... Probably a 1/3rd of my air to ground kills with jets are strafing kills. It's relatively to easy fly low over a potential target area, take a look and come back for a strafing pass... If there's a close infantry battle taking place and both teams are entrenched in between bases on a map like Wake for instance, a pilot can judge where the troops are, swoop down and either take a guess, or take a look for his 2nd pass and strafing run.
This works well and helps the pilot rake up big scores, because he doesn't have to keep going back to base to rearm with bombs. Those exploding jet cannon shells can do serious damage and I love them so...

I play sniper a lot since the patch, dont know why I just do. Anyway I try to see everything while looking for a good target. Ive probably seen 50+ AA missles shot and only 4 hit the target.

I think the jets are fine, my only complaint there is they should have to land turn around and take off to be rearmed/repaired and should be 100% then, If they even need a fix that would be it. Oh and the guy flying the jet while in a jet racks up time as a pilot not some other class. while im thinking about it maybe decreaseing the spawn time for the aircraft would help also. Then if player "A" crashed, player "B" would get a turn without that T/K nonsense, but thats if the aircraft even need a fix.

Anyone who has used the AA since the patch Knows its pretty iffy now. Ive quit using it, it almost always does team damage unless the aircraft isnt moving. It needs to be fixed, I stand a better chance of taking a jet down with a tank instead of those AA placements. Red
