It's not war, its a game. Gameplay isn't a factor in war so balance and credit isn't necessary.

Yeah, and join the ranks of the plane campers, waiting forever at the airfield for a jet I might not even get. And nice hypocrisy too, you say this game is overall military yet also say the only way to deal with airpower is to go fly myself. Otherwise I "catan" stop air power.

all i have to say is grab urself an m95...ther great for takin down choppers...spesh fully loaded black hawks i took out 3 choppers on wake island thismornin.....n if ure near a sam launcher wait for the jet to pass, n then get on the sam n blow it to bits! if it goes to drop bombs just run to some cover...simple really

I think they should replace SAM site IGLA/Stingers with Flak cannons. That way you'd rely more on your own skill and aim, rather than the game's stupid missles.

I'd be happy if they replaced the stinger sites with stationairy .50 caliber machine guns, it wouldnt touch the planes, but it woud work against helicopters..

you know what is really sad about this thread?

The fact that there are so many idiots who think they are good at flying jets (hey, who knows maybe even some of them are good) and they come on to the thread and say things like:

"hey, if you can't take down jets you should learn how to fly one you n00b!!"

There are so many things that are just wrong with that.

1) There are only ever MAX 2 Jets per team.

2) Once someone has got a jet, they will likely last at least half the map without being killed (because the AA is crap)

3) Because of this they think they are l33t

4) They come on to this forum, and get ****ed off because other people are saying they are not l337 for not being killed by some pathetically nerfed AA

5) They start telling everyone to try flying jets better, like them

6) They claim the AA is fine, just that they are uber pilots

7) After ranting on the forum they close down their mum's pc and get some cookies and a hot cup of milk before bedtime.

It's not really ruining the game, the only thing that annoy's me with it, is that say on the map Wake Island and we had one capture point left and the same person in the jet kept dropping bomb's on the spawn point he just dropped then went back to base then dropped etc, he ended up with like 20 kills 0 deaths with that.

Teamwork is needed with being pilot too you know. Thats why clan fights are more fun than public, they give the best two pilot the jet, and the others do their job. Unlike on publick where a person can fly the jet and not crash for the entire game (bravo) and not score a single kill, hes the one thats ruining the game.

Sometimes if I see the other team have a pilot that dosnt know whats hes doing, bombing way off target, I will just leave him alone, its one less jet for the other team assuming he dosnt crash himself.

The patch did nothing, i repeat nothing to the missiles, they are still useless as ever against jets, espically the J10, fortunately I fly the J10 all the time but those poor people hoping for delverance with the patch are going to be disapointed.

Go on foot...... Pilots usually look for AA>Stationary Vehicles>Moving Vehicles>People. Your ordinary infrantry is last on the list, so you'll have better chances of surviving against a good pilot on foot. No matter how good he is he cant spot you unless he dips low, in which case will be hard to kill you with bombs or guns.

Yes, the maps are huge though......

Sorry sir, but I strafe bases with my gunns and shoot them with my Air-to-Air missiles when I run out of bombs. If I see a hit box for a vehicle I hit it with my guns - unless its a tank I usually kill it.

Plus when the commander puts UAV up I spray my guns in the area, careful to not hit friendlies.

The only place "safe" against a pilot is next to his teammate because most pilots won't take the chance of a TK.
