Im in my early 30's and have owned/played every console system ever to come out (even Vectrex) I cut my teeth on computer games such as Castle Wolfenstien and Wizardry. I got a friend of mine hooked in to console games with MetalGearSolid and in turn was hooked back into PC games thru him with BF42 ( the game that ruined 1st pesron shooters). The BF series was what I always wanted big,open,unpredictable..... I can only log 5-8 hours a week now (married/new house) but its all I play Im turing in all the console stuff I got so I can persue a P$3 when it comes out, Motostorm looks great...as does MGS4,and KillZone...ect.ect.....

28 here. WIfe hates it but its a stress reliver for me so she tolerates it she has to I can only play on her rig...mine wont handle it

Old! playing computer games since 1979 (Apple II Plus) loading programs via cassette tape, the 5 1/4" Disk ][ drive was a Godsend! Also, have been in the computer biz for awhile, first hard drive I sold was a 5MB (not GB) Profile HD for $3495.00 for an Apple III, circa 1983. Sold Davong HD;s for PC's before the IBM XT model came out with a 10MB HD, Davong HD's were very sensitive and were prone to head crashes, so Davong became our name for the sound of the HD hitting the bottom of the gargbage can. I remember when IBM PC's first came out, populating add-in AST memory boards chip by chip, 8chips per bank, plus a 9th parity chip, row after row, board after board. First network setup, IBM Token-Ring. lol, vintage stuff. Later, surfing the Internet via Unix commands, no graphic browsers then. Used to sell "IMSAI" computers, pre-IBM, this was the PC used in the movie "War Games" in 1983. Like I said.....OLD! (51)

I'll be 50 in November. I started gaming with a friends Commodore 64, my first computer was a 486 DX50 with 4 Mb's of ram. I remember thinking how groundbreaking Alone in The Dark was and it wasn't much more then wire frame graphics.

Fortunately I don't have a problem with stamnia, played 8 1/2 hours non-stop last Saturday although I am thinking of replacing my computer chair with a rocking chair. The problem I have of late is being competative in these twitch games but I just can't stop, too much fun! I try not to think about 14 year olds from all over the world kicking my ass. I still have the occasional good game where I do the kicking. :evil:

43 in December, been gaming forever, like the one guy said above, the start trek ASCII game on the dot-matrix printer! wowsa!

love BF2. got everyting I need in a game to hold my interest for a long time to come. gotta juggle work/wife/kids (2 daughters, 8 and 5), but it all works out. like others have said, you have to take care of the important stuff 1st, then gaming comes easy.

definate addiction though. too much fun. WAY too much fun! Used to run a big clan when Medal of Honor was big & into Call of Duty. but the fun ran out so I moved on. game with a layed back group now, no pressure. just fun.

late thirties here. I have to keep it secret like a drug habit, I'm very grown up in all other areas of my life but I don't let it be known I play video games- its an annoying habit born of the Atari I can't get rid of.
Oh Yeah and the Wife absolutely hates me playing BF.Funny thing some of the absolute best players in 42 were in their early forties!!

LOL, you and I must be married to the same woman! I'm 37 and love FPS games. I have 2 kids also.

The wife tolerates my playing, at least I'm not at the pub lol :) Been married almost 13 years now... Have 2 kids at home 7/9 (my 9yr old son loves his xbox, plays some PC games), and one out of the house.

CS:S and BF2 mostly, been playing games since the days of Doom, HL, Quake2, UT99, etc, well, thats not counting RISK on Bulletin Boards with the 2600 baud modem :) :)

Bunch of my guys in STK are in the 25-40 range, and a couple close personal friends play/are in the clan as well. We keep the recruiting to 18+ for obvious reasons...

I'm usually in our TS at night when playing, and the public is welcome. My xfire: themisfit1 (same name for email @msn or @aol.com).

A young 56 here. My first computer mod was taking apart an Atari 400 and soldering in the extra 4 kb, yes kb, of memory to bring it up to the equal of an Atari 800. Been gaming since the old Atari pong games and I'm not stopping till they pry the mouse/joystick/game controller, from my cold, dead fingers.

I do mostly flight sims, a member of the WingWalkers virtual squadron, and have recently gotten into racing sims with RFactor. My first FPS was Delta Force by Nova. Moved on to DF2 and played mostly on the Tubetti World servers. Was the insperation for the MEOW squad which is still alive and well.

Yes the people at work know what I do. The younger guys and gals think its cool. My supervisors are awed by the visually accuracy of a flight sim like IL2.

I'm 45, and play BF2 all the time and I'm proud of it . Well, I'm not going to put it on my CV as a spare time activity, but maybe one day we can all come out of the closet and admit that we wish we could do more of the fun stuff in life. Play more, worry less!

40 years old here. Enjoys BF2 until, Ofp2 hits the shelves. TV makes me sleepy. My wife owns the TV now. Also I do tell my buds, I play BF2, and I do computer graphics, animations.

Okay, since I started this thread I thought I'd better say something about myself!

Age 57 now, feel much younger than that, enjoy BF2 too much and try to beat my wife home friom work so I can play before the inevitable pleas for help with dinner, garbage, shopping, etc. Have enjoyed gaming since getting hooked on Space Invaders when in grad school, then bought an Atari ST and have fond memories of Typhoon Thompson and Oids. Played those with my sons when they were younger, then discovered flight sims and Delta Force, Medieval:Total War, then the BF games. Guess you could say I'm hooked, but it keeps me out of bars and strange bedrooms, so that's OK.

My friends know I play, but unfortunately other men I know are into other hobbies. Only a few coworkers know I play, but that's mostly because the matter never comes up.

I usually rack up average scores on BF2, but I have had some high scores and some miserably poor showings, too. Hand sometimes seizes up! Reflexes aren't half bad, and my machine is decent: ABIT SF-7, Athlon Barton 2600, 1 gig RAM, Radeon 9600 which I nervously built myself after cannabalizing an older machine.

I will see you online under the name I use here, and will check in from time to time so see how this discussion is going!
