you dont need to have -all- of the basic badges. that is only for Sergeant Major and above. For 1st sgt, you just need all the basic kit badges, pistol and knife.

you don't need all the badges for sergeant major either. i don't have the knife and pistol badge and got promoted today to sergeant major.

Regardless, I hope EA fixes this with a hotpatch for 1.03. I don't want to wait until 1.04. Or at least if I can get an official word from EA that it will be fixed.

thats weird...on UBAR it says you have to have them all. Ok well everything is just messed up with the ranks...I really hope they fix it. I mean look at mine, 1st sgt is full, yet i still am a master sgt.

Ok well, if I actually e-mail bfhq (or w/e) will it actually have any impact? Probably not is my guess, but I am just curious about past experiences.

well, UBAR is wrong. it's not like UBAR is affiliated to EA in any way so that whatever they say is fact.

ya same problem for me

got my vet pistol and knife badges at the same time as my basic badges cause i never realised how many kills i actually had so one day i was like "hey i could get my vet if i just get 7 kills in a round" and NOT from exploiting on servers...

anyways about 2 weeks later it awards me my basic knife badge again which was odd..

so anyways im master sergent instead of first like the others

oh ya

wont this also effect the medals with similar requirements?

I too will have the same problem. I have all basic badges, but got Vet knife at the same time as basic. BFHQ shows me working towards Master Sgt when it should be First Sgt.

I take some (very) small comfort that one of the EA rep's (sentience) has said he will bring the issue to development's attention.

I'll make sure to pass this one onto the developers, I can see how this one would be frustrating for some.

It needs fixing, this will effect our ability to get some of the medals too.

pzl tell when they respond i have the same problem for veteran pistol badge.
