I am very afraid that if you didn't have all basic badges BEFORE you played with 1.03 and reached 20k it's no no for 1st sgt...

I have the same problem. I am glad its not me and its affecting a lot of people so...lets all email them and yell at them :p

And I had all basic badges and just over 20000 points before installing the patch, so its not that eitehr. Unfortunatly I also got the basic/veteran badge at the same time...so it might be that, though I did see it say when I got them:

"raceacontari awarded basic pistol"
"raceacontari awarded veteran pistol"

so...I did see it award it to me just...veteran at the same time so....i'll email them too...I want to be 1st sgt dang it...let us know if you hear anything

i hav the same prob for pistol and knife but i dont care... ill rank up later on anyways and does anyone know the new updated requirements for all the ribbons badges medals and ranks now

Same problem here, have all basic badges. My friend doesn't have all basic badges and he is First Seargent, are you guys sure its not vice versa, like you need all basic badges to be Master Seargent, else you'll be First Seargent? Just wondering.

Are you positive he is First Sergant because according to stats you can't get First Sergant without all the Basic Badges. Master Sergant is what you have without all Basic and First is what you get when you obtain all Basic.

Wow that is lame I have the same problem....funny I'm being punished for going above and beyond to get my expert badges. I wouldve gone up 4 ranks instead of 3 and im at 46000 so im close to another rank up

Are you positive he is First Sergant because according to stats you can't get First Sergant without all the Basic Badges. Master Sergant is what you have without all Basic and First is what you get when you obtain all Basic.

you dont need to have -all- of the basic badges. that is only for Sergeant Major and above. For 1st sgt, you just need all the basic kit badges, pistol and knife.

if everyone emailed them, they would realize that they f---ed up...again lol. As I understand it that email address is to their people that do the stats, ranks, etc. So just email them and say....whatever, just something about 1st sgt and having the needed points and badges and still not getting the rank.

looks like same thing happening to me. it has nothing to do with not having hte basic badges. i have well over 40,000 points, all basic badges before the patch, i was sergeant before the patch, i went up 3 ranks after the patch to master sergeant. i am now getting veteran badges and they are recording in my stats and my points are going up so everything is registering fine so wtf is EA doing? do i seriously have to wait until im 50,000 to go up 2 ranks?

btw i emailed those noobs at EA too.

well something is messed up seriously. Those of us that have the req's for it should have it....I will be very ticked off if I am stuck at master sgt and my friend, who I currently have about 2x as many points as him, gets to 20000 sometime and gets 1st sgt lol. Anyway...if anyone hears anything or figures out that you really need to have basic badges of this but a few veteran for that...let us know hehe
