I've heard that the sniper rifle bullets are affected by gravity and thus fall a little when travelling long distances. If this is true, when one shoots something straight up and stands still, will the bullet hit him?

The M95 has more drop than the M24... but you have to be at EXTREME ranges to notice it. Ranges of 300m or less, you probably won't see any drop. 300m and more, however, you will start to see clouds of dust as your bullet drops short of the target.Comment

Ok so the topic is on Gravity, here is another Bullet related experiment.
Hypothetical:
(Other Variables such as Wind don't apply)
Imagine Mr X was standing on top of a train with a gun.
Now this gun shoots bullets, at exactly 100mph.
The train that Mr X is standing on is also going exactly 100m/h.
Up ahead is Ms Y, she is standing on the tracks.
Now suppose Mr X shoots Ms Y with this gun going at 100mph, how fast would the bullet go?
Answer: Exactly 200m/h

Yes, it's true. Once the bullet leaves the end of the barrel, it would see that the bullet would fall to the ground. As Newton's Law of Physics state every action has a reaction!

Um Im pretty sure by now that bullet drop is in the game one way or another, be it a glitch or actually part of the game, its there. Ive let many of my friends try the same with a 50 cal sniper, and they all get the same results, so the M95 bullets do start to drop.Originally posted by phen0mIf you guys would actually check the tweak files you would see there is no bullet drop coded into the game.
