Re: A Chopper Pilot’s Guide to being a good gunner

As Strega's Gunner i can say i learned alot of the do's and dont's. i used to spool up the chain gun at will and listen to him scream at me. we practice alot and thats all we ever do is go Helo and provide the ground pounders with cover and heavy armor removal for them.

Nothing feels better knowing you have a chopper pilot that can fly well and knows what he's doing, ive been in servers flying with other pilots and it ****'s me off cause they will shoot all there rockets and never allow me to make any attemot to TV missle cause there going for there own points, Just because you blew all 8 or your rockets dosnt mean we are out of ammo. i have 7 TV missles waiting lets keep attacking.

We dont brag over global chat about how we killed you or write "Yeah you got owned Biatch. If we get killed a quick "GF" goes out from us. we've seen is all from people stalking us and resort to ramming cause they couldnt do it any other way.

Like he said Communication is Key between me and him, we use the clock system to point out enemy tanks or helo's and we scout the map so we know were all AA's are so that we can quickly take them out.

Good post partner, talk to ya when ya get home.

Don't worry, I've got in trouble with teachers before because they didn't understand my dry humor...

12 o'clock is in front of you, 6 o'clock is behind you, 9 o'clock is to your left, and 3 o'clock is to your right - everything else is in between. There are also "high" and "low." 12 o'clock high is in front of and above you while 12 o'clock low is in front of and below you.

Actually it's 12 o'clock, in my country we have a more simple way to say 0h... my lack of english (and portugish thinking comes first), though, i know about 12 o'clock.

                      Cheers.

Re: A Chopper Pilot’s Guide to being a good gunner

It's a good guide, but I would like to add my own tip.
If your pilot is flying towards a flag and wants to capture it, and this go's especially for MEC gunners. Destroy all the AA, buggy's and TOW around it, even if they are unmanned, cause they may be unmanned but a guy can easly sneak to the tow and kill you while you are turned around.

Also in my experiemces people use the gun to little, I have had way to much gunners just using the TV guied Missle while I'm straving or hovering around 20 infantry. And a gunner should stay by default in the gun view, and only switch to the missle whne it's necesairy. Mainly because in teh gun view you can look from side to side and it's easier to spot things.

Anyway you should also write a guide for pilots. And I do not mean a flying guide, cause thats the easy part, but a strategy part. Cause there are to much pilots who just fly spastically from flag to flag. For no reason at all. even you have like 10 pretty much defensless infantery in front of you. They will not strafe or hover so you can shoot them.

                          It's actually a TV-guided missile. :)

Very good suggestion, I will add it to the guide. Something I completely forgot to mention. Thanks boss.
