i saw some idiots selling America's Army accounts some months back that had High Honor counts, so this isnt that far fetched. im sure somewhere someones is already making money doing this dumb crap.

I agree starting and padding an account with the intent to sell it at a profit wouldn't be practical. But an established account set up by a dedicated player whom for some reason will be leaving the game would definately have a dollar value. It should be able to be sold to recoup a portion of the original owner's time and money investment. Of course the manufacturer would disagree for a variety of reasons but if you invest your time and money into a "project" shouldn't you be able to sell it to your benefit?

I don't personally see this as a potentially huge problem if allowed but I wonder about the possiblity of "offshore point farming". What's to stop a group of hypothetical individuals somewhere overseas from renting out there services to build up your points in your off time. A group of individuals could rent their own ranked server and be pretty efficient racking up points killing each other in an organized manner. Badges could be acquired rapidly as well as some to the ribbons. Imagine how quickly 10,500 points could be racked up by playing 16 players on 64 player maps. Even a very slight amount of basic automation could make this process very easy with few individuals involved. Basically its the same outcome of paying for points but perhaps a bit easier and more within the limits of the EULA. (There would be technical limitations but a dedicated programmer could bypass these very quickly).

it is. ppl do it in every mmorpg. if they get caught the account is deleted and the person that bought it is out $$$.

next time you quit a mmorpg for good, sell your account to ige and then post on all the major forums that you did so and report it to who ever runs the game. you get your money AND a good laugh.:laugh:

well im sorry im just tired of hearing people make sarcastic, stereotypical remarks on nascar or nascar games.

im a redneck, and proud of it..

we dont care to be insulted.. we are used to it.. but we have
found that most of the people who are doing the insulting
RARELY do it to our faces..

perhaps its because we still have gunracks in our pickup trucks, (LEGALLY!)
or maybe its because when they see us in person, their 'keyboard
tough-guy' attitude doesnt do them any good..

nascar.. never been to a single race.. and theres no way in hell

actully some months back, i got my first flat tire. and i wasnt sure how the hell to fix it, and sure enough some redneck country lookin guy, just as nice as can be was the only one to stop and ask me if i needed any help.

IF someone offered to sell you their account for a reasonable price say...a sargent rank with pretty good weapon unlocks and a respectible amount of ribbons and badges.....would you consider it? OR would you sell yours if someone asked??

Last week a guy name ValveFury bought an account off some kid for $50 on this SITE. He was offering up to $1000 for an account with all of the unlocks. I called him a prissy rich boy who will never have the feeling of EARNING something on his own. Then he started sending me hate mail. Just like drunken pirate said it's pretty sorry to see that.

I offered to hunt him down wherever he went, all i wanted was his new account name. He hasn't repsonded yet. He can buy a sergeants rank, but he can't play it.

You know what's funny about Rednecks. They Bark really loud until you bite. I grew up surrounded by rednecks and can't count the number of times i've knocked them out. But i have to admit partying with them (and especially their women) is really fun.
