We were hacked. Several times over the past two weeks, in fact.
While all passwords are encrypted and salted, it's recommended that you change your password here when you can.
Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
nevermind, i just reread the posts and you're in Gainesville.
Either way, patch 1.03 came out and didnt do diddly squat. I was able to play for 30 minutes after first applying it, but now it's not more than 2-3. Strange.
well i can tell you the problem isnt because of this fusion broadband because i live in the UK and i have exactly the same problem. but this is only since i installed the 1.03 patch. it was running fine with 1.02.
i dont have a router so thats not the cause either any ideas how to fix this and dont say "whats your pc spec" or "check your cable is plugged in" because i know its a problem with the GAME

Same here, cable modem, finland , after 1.0.3 patch conn probs started, now i get dropped from server at least once a day, before that it's like 2 times in 2 months.
1.03 patch fixed my other issues, the ONLY one I have now is that immediatly when I get in game, connecion issues, then it shoots me back to the menu. I can start a local game just fine... now that I can actually play I can't... play.
I checked my firewall, turned it off, and used a different one - didn't do a thing.
Could someone explain port forwarding for the D-Link routers?
I actually thought the patch had fixed it for a bit...went through a full two games before losing connection....now I cant hold again for more then like 7 minutes.
Well on fix is to make sure your game resolution matches your desktop resolution this was the same problem in several other games like Ravenshield/Athena Sword, and Joint Operations. But also depending on your internet connection if you are on cable you are sharing bandwith with with everyone in your neighborhood. But if you have ADSL or something you will not have these same issues to my understanding.
Alot of people are having problems with the update...some are not. I was having major issues with connection problems and staying in a game.
After doing some research and checking into a bunch of things, before you screw around with anything else TRY THIS FIRST!
At the start of the game from the Manage Your Accounts Menu:
Delete All your Accounts.
Close the game, come back in and retrieve them using your email.
You will have to reset all your settings but it's worth it!!
After doing this I had no problems with the game.
I can only assume that after the update, EA is having a conflict with the accounts that are in the data base from the old versions.
I hope this saves alot of you from going nuts like it did me. If this doesn't work for you... you are screwed and there is no hope!!! LOL (just kidding) Post your problem and we will try to help.
Well that did something. Now it freezes up but then it unfreezes and gives me "Problem with connection" In yellow for a second or two before it kicks me off.
I had to format the other day after making the post (unlrelated to the game issue). When I reinstalled everything, it was all the same -- Nvidia Firewall was the same, all settings for internet, ingame, etc -- but it works now. It did do the disconnect on the first server I joined, but after that it didn't any more and hasn't since. Might have something to do with what Driller said, but I'm not running at the desktop rez.
I've not been able to play a game online since around lunchtime GMT.
I'm slightly amused at some of the more bizarre solutions ppl are touting.
- Make sure your desktop resolution is the same as your game res. What? (lay off the smoke, dude)
- Make sure you are running BF2.exe on only one CPU. What?? (yeah, cos its soooo multi-threaded NOT)
- Re-install BF2 from scratch (oh, sure, the installation was screwed up magically, not)
- Power cycle your router (erm, not having issues with any other game, so why?)
- update PB
- jump up and down and scream "EA are a bunch of f%ckers" (oh, i just made that up)
I'm not buying ANY OF IT.
But well done for trying.
Nup, this is pure and simply an issue EA is having with its netcode imho.
When the internet is busy, it seems, this game becomes unstable online.
Some ppl claim to have found solutions but i reckon they're testing them when internet traffic is down and the issue isn't as bad.
We dont have connection issues with any other games, it simply has to be EA's netcode.
