Battlefield 2 is the first FPS I've actually enjoyed enough to care about getting good at. I enjoy playing, the shiny things and stripes that come with it are just a bonus. Take a break from BF2 and try other games, I'm pretty sure you'll come back before too long.

dude, dont be a A-HOLE. and yeah, i noticed that i skipped some letters, but im not the best typer in the world so forgive me if i presses the "S key" instead of the "A key" that is next to it. common error.
and what i mean by "...HALF DONE", is that the guns are not true to its real form. I dont mean like this should be REAL ONE SHOT KILLS YOU THING, cause this is just a game and that would be retarded, but they should make the guns work like they should, not just have it HALF DONE.

You can now extrapolate that when mods will come, yes, we will try them but unless they are very very very good ppl will go back to the original bf2 cause thay can play and earn points at the same time.

i agree...
i work 40-50 hours per week...
i come home very tired...
i play maybe 1-2 hours then i fall asleep...
weekends i can play a little more... maybe 3-5 hours...
but at this rate its gonna take 2 years to get all the guns...
i think that the creators of this game were thinking only of kids with no life, and work, no nothing... kids that have all day and all night every day and every night to play as much as they like...
Hey, if you have the time to play and hate fresh air and sunshine... thats fine... play all day... but for the rest of us, it gonna take a long time to get all the cool weapons...
i think they should lower the weapon unlock point requirments...Comment

bah... if you focus on stats you cant enjoy the game, all of thoose things will come in time, just chill and enjoy. this game has so many diffrent aspects as it is ... dont try gain stats try to have fun. anything else would be foolish. and i also belive that all the guys complaining about the unlocks have been stats chasers and then get disappointed when the new gun isnt devine, but only a new gun.Comment

You work for a day or two to get lance corp. That's one gun. You work for another 2 weeks for a SECOND gun on the SAME account.

yeak well i do focuse on my stats. i try to get at least 500 points a day.
at the most i could make about 700. but this is in a 5 hour period. so 1 day= 5 hours.
i never said to play and not get nothing, i said to play and get more.
whatever. just think of it this way. are these guns really worth it. should you
your ranks and your weopon unlocks are not the same job. so lets just say you know your not gone get 150,000 points before BF3 comes out, that means you will never have all the weopons in your arsonal. i think six weopons is really pitaful. its nothing. and they should already be in your arsonal in the first place. why dont they have some like Grenades or somthing you can unlock, or smoke GL nades that you can use for the m203 or somthing. or like a flame thrower or mabe differnt ammo types, like explosive rounds, armor piercing round, soft tip rounds, and then have a body armor you can unlock, or have some experimental weopons you can unlock, like the OICW. Night vision infered vision. gun camera.
all that rite there would make this game alittle better. but EA decided on just 6 weopons.
but if you dont think that sound kinda cool then fine.Comment

it might have hit you that this is a smart way of enhanching the teamplay that EA has been so keen on.
i mean maybe this is a smarter move then we think. if people can only get one or two weapons out of the six that is available. then people will focus on the unit he has choosen.
and what ive learned by looking at it this way is that people acctually tend to go toward totaly diffrent directions. except for perhaps medic and support which seems to be popular with the PKM and L85, which is good since both of thoose units are needed for anytype of teamplay, squadbased or "for the greater good" of the gameplay.
all of the sudden we dont have people switchin between unit types, but focusing on his specialty, which makes the squad gameplay much better and more fun.
perhaps one of the smart thing EA has done.Comment

and thats what online play is. unless you can find a group of people who arnt gona BS you both ways and say no then EA's "SMART DECISION" is just more BS.

I think they should unlock the weapons for us because they're not much better than the standard weapons anyways.
I dont think the stat idea that good anyways when I was playing the BF2 Demo there was always people willing to work as a team because it was alot more fun but nearly every public server I've been on the full game nobody's interested in working as a team everyone's out to get points.Comment

Don't worry about the points and ranks. Just play to win and have fun. Those pretty meaningless stripes, badges, medals and points will come along.
The weapon unlocks, maybe except the PKM, are not *that* much better than the original weapons, they're just different.Comment

Please... It should be HARDER to gain ranks. I can get 2,000 points a day w/o trying all that hard... If 10,000 points is too much for you to get to the next rank then stop playing noob.Comment
