Is Karkand the lowest skilled map?

I like the map, but on 99% of the servers, the skill level is very low. People can't aim, and don't play smart.

Is it because this is a noob friendly map? (i.e more straightforward figthing?)

Sometimes there are good players on, but it is hard to find them- especially on noob magnets like 24/7 karkand servers.

Anyone have a good high skilled server to share?

The refusal of the MEC team to defend the North-West point seriously irks me as this is usually the one that is capped first. Most of the matches it is only me up there vs a USMC squad.

              It's not Karkland, its Karkand.

I agree man.. it seems like nobody understands the meaning of defense. Sorry, I can't help you with a good server.

I dont know about it being a noob paradise. I personally find it harder to survive on that map than i do on any other, and I have probably close to 80 or 90 hours all up under my belt, so im not exactly a noob.

Sure, people hate people that run around using m203s and gp30s, but please acknowledge that it does take a degree of skill to use them effectively! it takes a certain degree of skill to use any weapon efffectively ingame, as has been established in who knows how many threads. There is no need in my opinion to call it a noobtoob or anything else, its in the game, and its in RL. Complain when a hax comes out for a laserbeam that goes through friendlies without killing them, through buildings and hits 7 enemies hanging out at the airfield. Dont complain about weapons which do have every right to be there.

Yes, the people who are skilled that use GLs are actually good. But i'm just annoyed by noob bunnyhoppers that just go to point blank, jump, and then shoot a 203 at the ground, they live, you die, that's really unfair. But for experts with the GL that can hit people like 100meters away, i ow my respect to you guys.

It's not the amout of grenade launchers that bother me, its how people aim poorly with their rifles and have a general slower reaction time to events around them.

I do start to mind when the same player uses the tank or apc all game, for like 5 games in a row.

What's funny is that most of the time, the flags all the way in the back are a wide open, yet none of the USMC players bother capturing. Everybody is always fighting between the first MEC flag and the nearest USMC spawn point.

I think this map is a conspiracy of subliminal advertizing done by Cost Co. A lot of people misread the name as Karkland, which happens to be the generic product distributed at Cost Co.s! oOOooo weirrdddddd...

Oh and I do think Karkand is one of the harder maps, due to the fact that it is all ground combat and each sector is unique in that there is opportunity for both close quarters combat and long range combat. I generally try to avoid the area south of the first MEC flag at the hotel, for that area is death reigned down by artilery, grenades, and anything with splash damage. It's too bad there aren't more players willing to escort a tank through the streets and protect the sides and flank. Most of the time the tanks or apcs have to go it alone and become easy targets for anti tank and spec ops.
