It's basically a Deathmatch for noobs who can't shoot anything but 203's. We tried a 5v5 TWL match at Karkand, and got whooped, but it really doesn't require much skill to put up a UAV every 60 seconds and chase the red dots around the front bases with 203's.
For now, until things get balanced and/or nerfed, I'm only playing Karkand for fun, no more noobie teams whooping our ass (yes, I sense the irony) with little more than UAV's and nades.
I firmly believe an INFANTRY ladder needs to be for Infantry. If 4 guys need a virtual map hack to contain 5 opposing players, it really shows what type of competition this game will attract. I totally agree that 8v8 and larger ladders have a place for the Commander, but Infantry should be infantry only, not a childish game of chase the red dot.
Crap, I haven't seen such a weak "tool" since the N64 Goldeneye days when we spent hours chasing the little red dot on our radar in quad-screen CRT Multiplayer games.
