Is Karkand the lowest skilled map?

It's basically a Deathmatch for noobs who can't shoot anything but 203's. We tried a 5v5 TWL match at Karkand, and got whooped, but it really doesn't require much skill to put up a UAV every 60 seconds and chase the red dots around the front bases with 203's.

For now, until things get balanced and/or nerfed, I'm only playing Karkand for fun, no more noobie teams whooping our ass (yes, I sense the irony) with little more than UAV's and nades.

I firmly believe an INFANTRY ladder needs to be for Infantry. If 4 guys need a virtual map hack to contain 5 opposing players, it really shows what type of competition this game will attract. I totally agree that 8v8 and larger ladders have a place for the Commander, but Infantry should be infantry only, not a childish game of chase the red dot.

Crap, I haven't seen such a weak "tool" since the N64 Goldeneye days when we spent hours chasing the little red dot on our radar in quad-screen CRT Multiplayer games.

      lol
I always turned the radar off, and health to -10 for 2-3 shots per kill. Or I played Golden Gun mode.

Oh and I do think Karkand is one of the harder maps, due to the fact that it is all ground combat and each sector is unique in that there is opportunity for both close quarters combat and long range combat. I generally try to avoid the area south of the first MEC flag at the hotel, for that area is death reigned down by artilery, grenades, and anything with splash damage. It's too bad there aren't more players willing to escort a tank through the streets and protect the sides and flank. Most of the time the tanks or apcs have to go it alone and become easy targets for anti tank and spec ops.
i meet alot of escorted tanks in the countryside maps when i play tank. im always dead in seconds then (tank + 2 rocketsoldiers). teamplay is so strong

Nothing better than killing a noob tuber with a pistol while they reload/switch weapons; expect maybe knife or paddle em.
                .
Under what account? I looked up your stats under eca.finalheaven and I dont' find a pistol badge, only 1 defib kill, 22 pistol kills with only 28% accuracey and 9 knife kills. You must have a different account you got that mighty pistol badge on?

Karkand is popular because theres no 6 minute hikes across tank/apc infested areas. The action starts and doesnt stop, thats why people like karkand, mashtur, and sharqui (sp?). Lots of fighting. Lots of places to hide, infantry friendly, lots of points to be made. I cant help it if theres a bunch of unskilled players, but the skilled ones rack up large amounts of points on the city maps.

The Heroes Must Conquer city map server is pretty good. It's Sharqi, Mastuur and Karkand rather than just Karkand but I must say that the people on there are pretty good players. They place mines intelligently, use tanks well and there are plenty of decent AT people who stop tanks dominating. I player 3 rounds using the M1 each time and not once did the turret machinegunner (or anyone for that matter) nick my tank whilst I was repairing it =)
