Blackhawk vs Jets: Ramming Ok?

I think the blackhawk pilots and gunners deserve all of the suicide runs they get - i've lost count the ammount of times i've been mowed down and killed (not critically wounded, so no chance of revive) by blackhawk pilots who fly around a flag and kill anybody who spawns never making an attempt to actually cap it.

Kill them all and let god sort em out.

Yes it`s fine, it takes as much skill to ram a BH as to whore with one....but it`s better to take it out with your gun...

I think its a lame tactic. Right up there with bhopping, and run-over kills.

In a sense us peeps create our own gaming environment. As much cheesy arcade action there is in BF2, I like to think of this game as quasi-realistic. When I play I try to use real tactics from the real world. Ramming is just silly because its never used in any real armed conflict.

All is not always fair in love and war, but it sure is in computer games. If EA wants to dissuade that, they can change the code to not reward ramming kills.

I think it is lame. I generally feel if I am being rammed the moron just doesn't know how to fly. I don't recall any recent incidents in the past or present where a US jet had to ram an opfor aircraft to take it down, well at least it wasn't reported in the papers. 8| . Learn to kill it the normal way, the way it was intended, with guns and missles.

I don't think it's cheap at all, if you're trying to shoot it down. I also don't think its cheap for someone who sucks at flying to purposefully ram you. You're dead. That's all that matters.

For those comparing this to uncap base camping, that's stretching it.

I think if you suck so much you can't legitimately shoot down a Blackhawk you shouldn't be flying an airplane.

Ofcourse it's cheap. That's the only reason for doing it. Sure, you could spend time shooting and shooting. Flying around and making several passes to down it. But tha takes time. Why do all that, when you can just ram in to it. Sure that's not what the makers of this game intended you to do, but you can do it. Just like any other exploit in the game. They're there, waiting for someone to find them like so many Easter eggs.

IMO, it's just as bad as bunny hoppers, leap froggers, and BH whoring. Atleast in the BH, it's designed to hold multiple ppl and take key points. HELLO, it's a friggin helicopter. heheh! That's what they do. Transport ppl to an enemy spot and take control. Now, I agree that fixing a chopper mid air is wrong. Also, they shouldn't be able to take over a flag. You should drop off ppl and they take the flag. Then you can come in and pick them up. Ofcourse, the enemy can shoot you down while you try to land in a small confined area. That should be the trade off. Not a cheap ram job. (umm..I'm not even gonna go there!)
