If I've been TK'ed multiple times already and you dont say sorry then I punish you...I'm still pissed I'm dead and punishing is my way of venting, sorry.

Well I *always* apologize for any TK, but there are times when it is not possible b/c you got killed as well. And you can't use the commo thing when your waiting to respawn.

I think this is where a lot of the TK punishing is coming from. You got punished earlier and now your very irritated so you punish anyone who TK's you. Then that person is irritated and punishes anyone who TK's him, and so on, and so on. I understand where your coming from though. Getting punished for accidental TK's a few times in the same map is very infuriating.

I have seen a few servers w/a server message saying punishing for accidental TK's will get you banned. Unfortunately, there few and far between. And thanks to the crappy BF2 server browser, I can't find them again.

I've also come across some server w/FF on but there is no option to punish TK's. You just get -4 points for the TK and that's the end of it. It makes for a much more pleasant game.

simply i only punish if its someone trying to shoot me when im trying to get a tank. thats the only time i really punish. And when there is noone around for ages and some idiot decides to shoot me with a gun for no reason. All other times i forgive :)

I'll punish an accidental tk sometimes if they don't take the time to say sorry or if they've tked me more than once in the round. I figure if you've tked me more than once then your style of play needs adjusting and you should be punished. Consider being more careful.

A sorry goes a long way though.

Well I always give them a chance top apologize, if I get no apology the game will vote to punish him by default. If it was my fault then I won't punish.

This is a big problem i have, i drop artilery were none of my forces are showing on the map, next minute three guys run into the area and die, and punish me, have been kicked from a server when this happened, I think they need to fine tune that part, but otherwise punish the intentional, or truely stupid ptk, but otherwise forgive, and hope the favour is returned, or it just may be.

The worst possible scenario is when you're playing as medic and you accidentally TK someone, say you're sorry AND revive them right away... and they punish. WTF? It's happened to me a bunch of times. And, most of the time it's THEIR fault!

About a week or so ago I was playing one night and I see two enemies run into this little alley-way behind a building. So, I lob a grenade in there, and this moron runs from BEHIND me directly into the alley-way where I threw the grenade. He arrives just in time for the detonation. Well, I managed to tag both enemies AND this idiot. Even though it was entirely his fault, I issue a "Sorry chief!" anyway, just 'cause I always do, even if it was their own fault, AND I run up and revive him. Of course about 3 seconds later I get the message: "You've been punished for a team kill!" Man, I was pissed! I asked (in not so nice a tone or language) why he punished and he said: "You TKed me!" I told him it was entirely his fault, and even though it was I still said sorry AND I revived. He responded: "How the **** could it be my fault? You killed me!" Man, there is an awful lot of downright STUPID people who play this game.

And, pretty much that same thing has happened to me at least a half a dozen times.

I usualy punish accedental tkers when I get runover by a tank or a car when I know they would have seen me coming miles away if they would'nt have ****ed at the same time they are driving. but now these days I rarely punish for any tk because they will get their -4 wether I punish or not, so...

but sometimes I get pissed at morons so I just hit page down to state my msg that they are the retard of the day!

i wont punish ANYONE in the game, i always forgive, regardless of the situation.

NOW, if its an obvious, out and out tk.....punish. Or if the guy is obviously mental. Sure. But short of those things i will not punish anyone. I have run over guys before with tanks and vehicals. Hey lets face it...you look at a buggy, and you might die. Its real easy. Fly boys killing you? I understand it. The radar on those planes can be confusing.
In the end, i punish no player. Mistakes happen. I make them, and you make them.
If i do run over a guy in a buggy/tank whatever, 100% i didnt mean it. So when i get punished.........i think the guy that punished me is the real lamer. Especially when down the road, in the game, its very obvious to all, that im a team player and work hard at ensuring my team wins.
Punishing for anything then an out and out tk.....is stupid.

punishers suck, i was bombing 2 tanks with my F15 and some idiot was next to them and i TKed him and he automatically punished, i was like WTF! why punish. hes like "cuz you killed me" and then i said you stood next to 2 tanks you idiot would you prefer to die by them" and also for all you ground pounders who i accidentally TK, if i cant get a sorry out, im sorry i have a joystick and i cant take my hand off it to issue a sorry without crashing too often

You cant say your sorry all the time. In the end, if you get tk'd it very well is partly your fault. I dont know how many times i've run over a team mate, that ran right out in front of my speeding buggy. This when the guy has miles of earth, to be on, while im occuppying 4 feet of it. Stupid. On that note, i will not pick you up in my buggy if you dont issue a, i need a ride. Why? You now how many times i have stoped, backed up, and went back to a person spamming, i need a ride.............and then they dont get in? screw that.

Another messed up TK story follows.

I was playing commander on the Strike, and evidentally this little kid named Sleeping Person also wanted to be commander. As a result, he'd start shooting at me while I was in the commander screen with the pistol so that I'd keep seeing the damage display flash on my commander map.

Then I got in a vehicle with another guy and so he jumped up onto the vehicle so that we couldn't move without teamkilling him. The server I was on, the Old Farts one, wouldn't allow me to iniate a kick vote for some reason and the admins wouldn't kick him so there wasn't much I could do.

These people taking advantage of the TK system should be shot on the spot. I think that it should be scrapped and replaced with a system that automatically initiates a vote to kick if someone has gotten 3 tks in a round. That way the haters can hate, but at least they won't be able to singlehandedly kick someone.

Punishing for an accidental TK is just weakness of character in my books. It's just being a cry-baby, whiny, little girl. What does it get you to punish for an accidental TK? Nothing! So, quit being an infantile little cry-baby!
