I think even now its blown up almost all the time and its not worth points. This will just be rewarding the people who do manage to do this for their team. Plus, if a defending group does actually have people attack them at least once or twice a minute then they will stay, its when you sit around for ages and just as you leave the flag turns neutral thta gets to people - man I hate that!
New patch may kill commander position

But thats not my biggest problem with this whole situation.
My biggest problem is that you all keep looking at this **** one-sided. As it is now, engineers get points for fixing the commander's assets, but spec ops don't get points for destroying them. Seems a little jacked to me. Also, if more people were to play spec ops to get points for blowing everything up, it would make sense that more people will play engineer to get points for fixing it. Well, maybe it won't make sense to some of you, since you cannot seem to understand the concept of balance, but thats besides the point.
Except it the amount of time(relative to the other supports/now the spec ops) it takes to receive one point as engineer.
6 or 7 repairs points in one game, basically means you sat the whole game repairing ****. Whereas other classes 6 or 7 points was "I ran outside and revived a guy 6 times as he continually got rekilled, or a support guy randomly tossing ammo till someone shoots something.Comment

My thoughts exactly! Or be a sniper and claymore your artillery. Spec ops comes in expecting minimal resistance, bam, he's dead.Comment

I don't understand why you guys agree that medics should be given points for healing and reviving, but SpecOps shouldn't be given points for blowing stuff up... I mean, medics are totally ruining the other team's day, totally destroying the assault class since they have the ability to heal themselves and other people around them.
Don't know if you guys noticed, but most base raping goes on whether there are points involved or not. It's not hard if you stay engineer as a commander, unless you're one of those jackass commanders who are up in a jet instead of helping your team out.
The patch isn't going to kill anything.Comment

Do people cry this much when i destroy arty, command, UAV now???
Its part of the game people, if you weren't supposed to destroy it then it would be undestructable. Even the little tutorial guy tells you to blow it up. So why shouldn't i get points for busting my ass doing it? People don't understand how powerful it can be to take out all the commanders assets. Even now where i don't get points for doing it i'll go and take out the command and arty if i notice the other team has an active commander that is screwing us. Now its good to hear i'll actually get points for it, sadly they'll probably be people waiting for me or a crew of other spec ops doing the same with me hehe.
I love how people complain about being killed by stuff that is made to kill them. Statements like "damn tank whore killed me while i was running around on foot" WELL DUH! Its a tank! Its made to blow you away. Its like saying "damnit that guy killed me with bullets! What a gun whore!" :hmm:Comment

As it is currently one spec ops can't blow up everything anyways, Its either Arty or Command and UAV. With only 5 C4 packs you can't take all of it out.Originally posted by xpnlI think this will work fine if the spec ops have only 2-3 c4`s
Its then a matter of team work to blow up all the stuff
instead of a 1 man action.
On that tip, whats the best strategy for disabling a commander... I haven't had the chance to play command at all online so i don't know what hurts him more. What should you take out first if your attacking as a Spec Op?
Arty? Or Command and UAV?Comment

I think you're overreacting (to the poster of the thread). I personally, when I'm commander, try to stay near my assets and protect them. It's hard to rely on engineers to repair the stuff, so I call in supply drops. Engineers do help though sometimes and if it comes down to it, I'll even get the engineer kit and do it myself if that's what it takes to keep my assets. I think it's good that spec ops will finally get recognition for destroying those things, they only recognition they get is if they blow up armored vehicles/people with their c4. Really though, there are ways to combat having your assets destroyed constantly by spec ops, it balances out.Comment
