Blood/Gore patch, you know we all want one

I'd like to see someone getting torn apart by a minigun or APC.

bf2 isn't even remotely close to reality. adding blood isn't going to make it any better.

If you can't see how your crosshairs change when you hit somebody, you have a problem.

Instead of a blood patch, I'd much rather see a stability/peformance patch, or a browser functionality patch, or a game balance patch, or a new maps patch, etc. etc. etc.

In other words, fix the game, or expand the game before wasting time on useless fluff.

But for the blood and gore issue for BF2, I have mixed feelings about it.."my opinion" I would like to see it in the game, but I could also see why they wouldn't add it since our current situation over in Iraq isn't going as well as we hoped.. with our boys and girls coming home in body bags, I think the whole blood and gore thing would hit a little too hard at home...I know it's just a game and everything, but could you imagine playing this game with blood splattering everywhere and body parts flying at every direction knowing you had a family member or a friend fighting over in Iraq..I imagine 1 out of 20 people who play this game knows someone fighting somewhere over seas....but this is only my opinion.

the gore thing was sweet with SOF where you should blow peoples legs off with shot guns and stuff.. but its just old now.

To be honest with you mate i recon they didnt put any gore in so kids could play the game and young ones at that can you imagine mum and dad buying a game and seeing stuff like that theyd go nuts . And the way things are every new game that comes out with violence init gets blamed for some loney kid going out and killing or maiming someone .

BTW me personal id love the gore ,if i shot someone with a tank round i want to see bits flying all over the place and as the other guy said it would be alot easier to see were your shoting someone after all red is proberly the most noticable colour (dunno if thats right ).

It's easy enough to see who you are hitting because your looking through your cross-hairs...their flashing...you know the lines flashing when you hit something or someone...I hope you already know this. Personally, I would like to see blood..like in CS:S that game has good blood effects...but, there should be an option to turn it off or on.

The game's just fine as is in regards to this area I think. I don't have time to stop and 'admire my handiwork' as I like to keep on moving towards the squad/commander objective.

Besides, anything else that taxes the GPU and lowers frame rates as it would is technically not needed. I'd suggest for the people who don't like the lack of blood go play something else like HL2 DM.

Hmm no i dont think so im the first one out of god knows how many generations not to join the British army in my family (well on me dads side anyway) my family has spilt enough blood for my country it can skip this generation. I just though it would of been nice for the game like the guy that originaly started this thead.

BTW ive actualy got family over in iraq now fighting so you making stupid comments like that is anoying as hell .

Yeah, can we please get rid of those pics? Especially the ones with the kids in them, this is not the place for those pictures.

Back on topic, I would like to see a blood/gore patch because personally I think it detracts from the game when you stab somebody and you see a puff of smoke instead of blood. Same with getting shot by tanks, blown up by bombs, etc. Tank shell to the face is going to do more than toss you across the map.

maybe EA should have hid a blood patch just like Rockstar hid the hot coffee mod LOL that would be hilarious though. Also I think that Raven Software should make another SOF game with a newer engine that would definetly rock my world if they did that.
