You know you can be revived after being blasted by a tank shell? If your limbs blew off and then you're revived... well... :|:

If you can't see how your crosshairs change when you hit somebody, you have a problem.

Instead of a blood patch, I'd much rather see a stability/peformance patch, or a browser functionality patch, or a game balance patch, or a new maps patch, etc. etc. etc.

In other words, fix the game, or expand the game before wasting time on useless fluff.
Agree! I couldn't care about the blood, but looking forward tol the 1.03 patch and hopefully it will address many of these issues.

Not sure if you realize this or not, but there is a HUGE difference between a little spray of blood in an ARCADE STYLE VIDEO GAME and posting pics of bloody men women and CHILDREN who are dying or dead. Pixilated red spray on a computer and a man carrying a little girl who is MISSING A FOOT should never be compared. Ever.

Wether or not adding blood will make it better is a matter of opinion, and being that this is targeted towards a mod team and not EA/DICE, there is no reason to say this shouldn't happen.

Also, to say bf2 isn't even remotely close to reality...well, if you mean that its a game and not real life you are correct, if you are talking about the content and gameplay of bf2 you are wrong. The armies are modeled after real life armies, the weapons after real life weapons, and the vehicles after real life vehicles. Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm fairly certain that that is quite a bit closer to reality than you suggest. I am not saying it is an accurate model of real life, its an arcade game, but it is remotely close to reality.

Adding a blood mod would at least give an added bonus indicator that you hit someone. The only time I've found the changing crosshairs useful is for long range as a sniper.

As for the gore, well, I could care less really. Neither for or against that one.

Pixilated ? This is not a Vic-20 were playing on here now or TV ping pong. Graphics have changed since the later 70's. Saying "BF2" is an arcade style video game. Well, maybe YOU can say that. Their is a taste (sensation) of what war is like in BF2. BF2 is not standing in one place, Pointing a toy gun at a monitor, and looking at a screen of the character you are, and heads popping up and down behind crates. You need to check what is arcade, simulation, and realism. Those pics make no different what you see in a game now a days.

You know we all say "Jeffrey Dahmer" was one sick dude. What was going through that mind of his "Blood and gore", pieces of body parts. Now, people here would love to see that in a video game. Me seeing a thread a thread like this, makes me think, their is a lot more people like "Jeffrey Dahmer"

Call me confused. But when i fire an M-16. Its nothing like clicking a mouse.

I play the enemy (OPFOR) in exercises we have here on base. And i can tell you its an entirely different feeling than playing a video game. There is nothing like having an M-60 nest open up on you. Granted blanks and fake bullets and no one really dies.

But comparing point and click w/ aim and fire is ludacris.

As far as graphics are concerned. At our current position in technology we can make things look entirely lifelike. But you will always know the difference between a computer game and pictures of real people who have suffered.

Also... I for one can distinguish between death in real life.. and death in a video game. I happened to love to shoot guys in the head in SOFII and watch as cranial matter was blown every which way. I would even get up close and admire my work. Maybe even take a few more shots at the guy laying on the ground. But not because im like "Jeffrey Dahmer" but because I marvel at the advancement that technology has made to allow me to virtually kill in such a fashion. Will i ever blow some guys head apart and relish at the fact it happened? no. As a member of the military I cant say that i will never kill anyone. But I DEFINATELY will not go and admire what i did to the poor fellow that found himself in my iron sights. So for you to make a blanket statement like "You people like violence in video games, therefor you are like Jeffrey Dahmer" is just retarded.

Firing weapons, hearing the sounds of artilliary from the sky then hitting the ground exploding, aircrafts overhead whizzing by, and helicopters coming in, tanks rolling side you, killing the enemy. All is a sensation. Sensation of what war is like, I wrote. Adding blood and gore, body parts thrown around adds more to it. Do not need it sickos.

                          Then i misunderstood your intent.

But there is a huge difference in real life dismemberment than that in a video game. What i find as entertaining and stress relief in a video game is totally opposite of what i would find than that in real life.

                            I have problems with that.

Making and being a character "Chineses, Mec and USMC" (Human characters). Is no different from real life and a video game, PC game, simulation, realism. What we visualize, hear, feel can relate to real life. BF2 is good enough for what it is, although it needs work. And games like BF2 is going to get more realistic in the future. Blood and gore is one realism we can live without in games. 5 years from now we are going to laugh at BF2. "oh my...I used to play that game? lmao...look at the cheezy graphics." That trend will continue, no matter how realistic the graphics in the game gets. I find BF2 close enough to what war is like. And Virtual war is better than being in a real one. People that like to see blood and gore also body parts rip apart, fly off in a game makes me think, what kinda minds they have when they want to see that. Even in a game that they can get off at, then take screenshots. Something is very wrong with their minds, and I find very sick.

Yeah if you guys want blood in the game then why complain about those pics??? That **** happens everyday in this world people get killed. Face it thats the way reality is and thats the way games should be made. None of this kiddy crap with no blood effects thats just BS. I have yet to see a war game that will actually have more gore than saving private ryan did.

I agree, pics of bloody peeps that dont relate to this game arent exactly what i had in mind when i started this thread.......sounds like some liberal BS propaganda attempting to validate a point that cannot be validated......to the person who posted that point, do your homework, not everyone is as stupid as you when it comes to knowing what goes on, on this earth......
..simply put; I would like to see a bit more blood/gore in this game,
if you do not dont install the patch(when we get one/if we get one) its a 3rd party mod........only install if interested.....
