Well respect and tolerance are two different things. I tolerate all the bunny hoppers, nade spammers, and people doing legal things that are frowned upon. That doesn't have to mean that I do it myself or have any respect for them, but like other issues, roof camping is just a part of the game at the moment and it is considered legal by DICE, so I really don't see why people still complain on this issue still even with all of the flaming threads that have been out for ages. You would think people would get used to it by now.

I did roof camp *some* on FoB when I used to play that map, like 4 months ago... but I usually jumped down after the first 3 or 4 kills so I didnt overdo it. I didnt want to hear someone say "LIEK Z0MG LOLZ TEH ROOF CAMP0RZZ N3ED TOO BE KIKCDED!!!!!!!1!!!!11!!!!!1111

When I land on a roof nowadays, I almost immediately jump off unless I get up there just to kill some other roof campers.

er no its not an official exploit no -one will be banned becoz they went on a roof what right do you have to label it as an exploit?do you decide whats what in 2142?I wouldn't go ut of my way to do it bt if I join a squad and they are on a roof wth? If Im up against a squad on a roof it doesnt really bother me there are far bigger exploits too worry about nemesis so why dont you email [DICE] and ask them to clear up the matter once and for all?And by the way oneman zerg I can play so dont worry about that sunshine...

Lol, not an official exploit? Of course it is.

What right do i have to call it an exploit? It fits the description perfectly; that's like asking me what right i have to call lack of light, darkness. It's called that, because that's what it is.

It's not me choosing to call it something because it vaguely fits the description.

I just dont think you like the idea of being an exploiter. Well here's a bit of advice for you; you dont have to be.

Lol, at what point did i complain about it? I'm surprised someone of your age has managed to completely misinterpret everything i've said. It's probably because you were so blinded with rage that someone called Rooftop Camping for what it really is. And i've already stated i dont play anymore, so it's no longer an issue for me.

Like e-mailing DICE would solve anything anyway, the reason it hasnt been sorted already is because they're quite happy to exploit on rooftops too.

Yeah, but if EA wanted it to happen, they would not have made the spawn beacons stop working when you put them under a roof. In order to do it, you have to put it next to a roof, then do a small amount of pod surfing to get on the roof. Sometimes you do land on the roof, but alot of people pod surf to do it.

No, there are not. If you try killing roof campers with anything besides sniper rifles and PK rockets, they'll just back away from the edge and heal themselves. Only an idgit isn't going to notice you pinging their health away with a Baur or spraying madly at them with a machine gun.

And I have to agree with nemisis that it's an exploit, not because he doesn't (and I don't) like it but because of virtue of what it is. Roof camping is using an item in a way it wasn't intended to be used to access a place you weren't intended to be able to get to. How is that not a textbook example of an exploit?

is there a description of an exploit?, yet again DICE stated that this is not an exploit, and will be left as it is, and the seond thing.. if they didnt want people on roofs.. why did they make them viable play zone? why didnt they just make the roofs an automatic death?... because it IS NOT an exploit, and dont blab to me that "oh well this is my opinion and i can state it freely" well, this is MY opinion and this is what i belive, and one more thing.. if such a little thing about a game on the COMPUTER irks you so much, why play that game anymore if it is "so flawed and easily exploitable" or yoou could simply not play maps with rooftops for people to camp on.. problem solved, or just play a server that does not tolarate roof camping, there are so many simple things you could do just to avoid this, yet you decide to play on servers that allow this, and ***** about it on forums.. please just do the simple thing and dont play on servers that allow roof camping, or maps that have roofs to camp on.

Lol, Sys. Op. you're a perfect example of your own sig. along with all you other nubs who need exploits for points.

                          More power to you nemesis.

Learn to fight a real battle people. If rooftop camping is so perfectly endorsed by EA then why'd they make it so beacons can't be placed directly under these rooftops (effectively making it harder to exploit)? They still need to fix their game and make surfing not work, but they're trying to stop rooftop whores.

[Offtopic]General Sniper, it's a magazine, not a clip. Assuming you're talking about the item that holds the bullets and feeds them into the rest of the gun, and not the item used to load said part, in which case you are correct in your vocabulary.

I remeber before the last patch were you could gain access to the rooftop using an RD4 Otus and a emp granade... as soon as this exploit was discovered DICE stopped the use of it same as many other exploits... Roof camping however has been around since the first day it was released without 1 word about it being an exploit from DICE/EA. So what can we deduce this thread

                            for.
                            1. It was allowed in the Beta testing under strick DICE members supervision.
                            2. This so called exploit has never been mentioned in any update fact file.
                            3. Has never been anounced by DICE or EA that it is a exploit.
                            4. DICE members doing it and stating that its ok.

                            against.
                            1. nemesis says its a exploit and we are all cheaters..

well nemesis, you put up such a good argument mate.. I have to go and report myself to EA for using an Exploit lol

I dont see the problem once the pod surfing is fixed in 1.40, If a squad leader manages to put a beacon in a strategic place, its skill/map knowledge on their behalf and an aid to the team if in a good place,

On the flip side, people should be more worried about the people on the ground level 20-30m away than somebody on a roof, Besides theres always one of the other flags/silos to take/defend if you cant hit them..

Like its been said before they are not unkillable, if it bothers you that much join one of the other 100s of servers that are around...

DICE has said that they didn't anticipate people podding onto roofs. How could they have added precautions against something they didn't know would happen in the first place?

and dont blab to me that "oh well this is my opinion and i can state it freely" well, this is MY opinion and this is what i belive, and one more thing.. if such a little thing about a game on the COMPUTER irks you so much, why play that game anymore if it is "so flawed and easily exploitable" or yoou could simply not play maps with rooftops for people to camp on.. problem solved, or just play a server that does not tolarate roof camping, there are so many simple things you could do just to avoid this, yet you decide to play on servers that allow this, and ***** about it on forums.. please just do the simple thing and dont play on servers that allow roof camping, or maps that have roofs to camp on.
I never whine in-game about roof campers. If I get a whole squad on the other team camping the roofs, I spawn with PK rockets or a sniper rifle. Or I switch servers. I continue to play the game because it's fun, not because it's perfect (which it's not). The reason I posted in this thread about how I felt about roof camping was because that's what the thread is specifically about: posting your feelings on roof camping.

I remeber before the last patch were you could gain access to the rooftop using an RD4 Otus and a emp granade... as soon as this exploit was discovered DICE stopped the use of it same as many other exploits... I say it's an exploit because that's what I understand the word to mean (I'd rather not argue what the word means), not because DICE says it's OK. If DICE said wall-glitching was alright that wouldn't mean it'd stop being an exploit.
