Now that would be a shame
Imagine playing a round without death raining from the sky, what fun would that be?

But seriously, I understand that it is a complex issue, but it seem to me that the choice was made in favour of "keeping cool sounding feature in game" instead of "making game fun".

As it is now you will often see that people just don't bother fighting at silos in Titan range, because it is like a never ending artillery bombardment.

I much preferred when they were precision weapons that was mainly used to take out armour, instead of spamming death unto infantry.
That was a much better concept, with the Titan keeping the vehicles in check, preventing them from dominating the map.

And since they are no-risk kills they should award teamwork points instead of kills.

there are 2 main advantages of moving a titan than keeping it static.. troop deployment and podding to enemy titan... your one guy camping etc is like comparing a nuke to a bee sting... my argument isnt that there isnt enough way to take out the guns... its that theres no danger to the guys using them and because of that we have the problem of titan gun whores... its like playing infantry with an everlast shield and i wouldnt be harmed.. "godmode" there isnt any balance... he may be having fun but they guys he`s killing over and over again have no chance to kill him back ergo no balance

most people would like to see a change you just have to read through the titan threads and you will get the gernal feel.. majority over minority... but i suppose minority with win again

titan guns should be much easier to destroy and should have a period in which they are totally inopperable after they get destroyed. think of a respawning vehicle like a tank, as opposed to a battlefield asset like an artillery piece. that way, if someone truly has the pactience to train thier weapon on the guns, they can suppress the usage of them indefinitly. which would give the enemy commander a reason not to put his titan in the middle of the map. its still not totally fair this way, because the enemy still doesnt get a death. but at least they cant just sit on the deck switching guns and repairing constantly and getting mucho kills with no risk.

About the soldier with shield and godmode: I bring up my last statement. So just imagine that guy camping mainbase had a shield, but couldnt move. Of course you are going to get shot by him for going for the assets.

About the Majority/Minority: Trust me, that is not how it works. The Voss would have been fixed a looong time ago.

Ooh... I like both of those ideas, Vreki. Doesn't neuter the guns at all, really, but should still curb the cries of "no-risk killers!" to a fair degree.:salute:

Titan guns should have limited ammo and not be allowed to resupply.

I would love having titan gun kills count as teamwork, it'd make it that much easer for that 55 teamwork ribbon, and it wouldn't inflate people's K/D ratios.

And I liked the old ones where they were railguns and could even zoom in to snipe stuff.

Here come the whiners. I use the Titan guns and I've been killed by Titan guns and IMHO the guns are fine. BOTH teams have access to the guns so whats the problem here? Any half decent commander will park the Titan in a strategic spot to cover the maximum amount of silos to defend. Speaking from experience a squad of 2 engys and 1 supply can render the guns useless in no time and there is even a spot underneath the Titan where no gun can hit you.

Honestly the BF community sometimes annoys me with the constant whining and requests to nerf weapons. Its not like 1 team can pick the best weapons and gain a massive advantage. Both teams have access to all the weapons (presuming you have the unlocks) and both teams have access to Titan guns. Both teams can have a commander that can move the Titan (if allowed) so where is the problem? I've played some Titan rounds where 2 silos were neutral for most of the round due to both Titans defending/whoring them.

I say leave the guns as is, for me Titan mode is the best game type I've ever played so DICE please don't let the whiners ruin another game like they did with BF2. Adapt or disconnect, don't sit there crying how you keep getting owned by someone who is invincable.

                    There's your problem.

One time I had our commander move our titan back in Suez Canal. I don't know why people think that makes the titan harder to board. Then shields went down, and the titan was stuck in the middle of nowhere and the enemies still happily boarded. >_>

While I agree on the whole, I really hate it when people say "both teams/people/groups have access to it, its fine!". Well duh, no ****. Still means the game can be unbalanced.

I enjoy takin out the titan guns for the points, helps the team, and I know it makes the weenie in the gun mad. The guns have a limited range of motion, so play smart.

That is not true, As soon as you destroy that titan gun the titan gunner will be repairing it and get 2 free points in the space of about 5 seconds just for turning the gun from red to green and then he will probably know exactly where you are and probably kill you.

                                Absolutely true.

Assuming he's in as an Engineer. Otherwise he's toothless until he finds a working Titan gun or comes down to play in the dirt/snow with the rest of the kiddies.

                                Probably.

Assuming the gunner had him in his sights when the screen turned to static (if not, well, the rest must be painfully obvious, I'm sure), and there's an engineer right there to instantly get the gun operational again.

Too many assumptions. Not an argument I'd care to bet the farm on at all.
