    REVIEW

Lately though I have about given up on Gamespots ability to rate games.
Every "Bad" aspect listed can be exactly applied to MW2 and Black Ops which got 9/10. Maybe it has something to do with this?

I'm kind of in shooter burn out mode at the moment anyway.

So far, the MP plays much better than any of the recent COD's.

I seriously don't get what these reviews are bitching so much about when the crap they're complaining about is just as bad, if not worse, in other larger budget titles. I think just because it doesn't have a name associated with it like "Call of Duty" or "Battlefield" they're crapping all over it.

Is there a lot of people playing. Are the servers full. Is it worth getting? Inquiring minds want to know?

I live in Indiana and have had zero problems finding a populated server. I'm already rank 25. :wee:

yeah. in many reviews, they take a flaw and exagerate on it. there are awesome games made by companies with low resources that i liked mutch more than those cods and ****.
I guess just because it's name is "call of duty" it already deserves a 9

THQ just didn't pay nearly as much for review points. I'm guessing the current rate is about $0.5 million per point, per reviewer. It's no secret that MW2 BlOps had higher marketing budgets than actual development budgets.

I know this sounds REALLY strange, but some people have reported that unplugging a USB joystick/gamepad fixed that problem for them.

Hey, it's worth a shot, right?

Yeah, I got 7 hours to preorder it on Steam and get a free Metro 2033
But I am seriously in doubt.
*One one hand I want to support alternatives to the COD / BF duopoly
*But on the other hand, they fooled me with FFoW, have decided to drop the demo, and are getting very mixed reviews on the forums.
So what to do? Bear in mind that I am only interested in the game for its MP part.

And of course I also have 4-5 games bought through various steam deal that are still awaiting my attention.

Beat the SP campaign yesterday. Short, but very sweet sums it up.

The MP is still a lot of fun. By default, the rounds in Ground Control go by way too quickly though. Server admins can easily increase this and I was fortunate to get into one the other night where a single round lasted almost an hour. It felt epic.

It would be nice if they did a free weekend on steam. I like the game, its fun and different. If your on the fence i would wait for a patch. It just like any new game it just needs a little work.

ok bought it today, campaign is a short 4-5 hour play, despite that i enjoyed the story, just the NPCs pissed me off with their stupidity but putting that aside i can give the game an easy 8/10 imho because of the MP aspect.

I believe the MP of Homefront was everything CoD: Modern Warfare should have been, with servers, a browser, add to favorites lawls, 32 players! no menu lag. the multiplayer really cheered me up. plus i had fun taking down enemy drones, definitely some similarity in SP campaign with FFoW but i believe this game to be more stable.

How is the MP player base?

From what i understand of your comment about player base which means player count and server? after the first server browser refresh it found 2000 servers, i saw several of them from being official Kaos servers, many of the servers are full 32/32, i was not let down today when joining a number of servers successfully. The browser refresh still keeps showing me 2000 or more servers.

I love the guys at Kaos seriously for gamers by gamers. plus had so much fun in one game where i spawned a AFV and took out several enemy afvs that was awesome!
