this game doesnt need rockets

people saying how "duhh rockets are for getting rid of sniperz" dont understand that the sniper rifle's place in an fps game should be to give the user an advantage at long range over other weapons.

if someone is up on a roof and they are able to shoot at you, that means you are able to shoot at them too. you dont need to blow them up with rockets.

people saying "rockets are for getting rid of people hiding behind stuff" tend to be people that run around out in the open in a rush to go nowhere all impatient and with bad eyesight.

people that say "rockets require a certain degree of skill" have probably not played tons of other fps games and dont realize that they dont know what they are talking about

people fool themselves..alot

This pretty much sums it all up. You don't need skill to use rockets because any nub could read that you "adjust range air explosion with scroll" if you "zoom in on an object it automatically sets to that range" This is all you have to know and the rocket unlock and your ready to roll. I find it sad when I say "Man, stop spamming rockets and do some shooting [Malignant :P]" He replies "Just because you don't have the skill to use rockets" -_- Srsly?

Yeah your always gonna have the people saying "Its available so why should I not use it?" And theres really not much you can do to persuade them, but yeah some rounds I feel like all I see are rockets flying at me from every which way. I try to have a gun fight with someone but he's not in the mood so he starts launching his rockets at me. Once I stopped using them I realised its more fun actually shooting people instead of giving up and rocketing them. Maybe I should just play titan...

Well, if i was running the hit reg fixer, my accuracy would be a lot better and wouldn't have to result to rockets either.

I always thought the rockets were fine. People who use them as primary weapons may get you a few times, but usually in the end they are the ones on the bottom of the leader board.

I dont remember, its been a long time, but didnt Team HOT when some type of tournament doing rocket spams? Something on Camp Gibraltar and just guarding the gate.

I could be wrong on that, its been too long.

Well, if i was running the hit reg fixer, my accuracy would be a lot better and wouldn't have to result to rockets either.

if you have a good computer and 80 ping or less on servers you play on you dont need it

you're kidding right? smoke nades are about as useful in the battlefield as a banana.

I'm being serious about radar nades ...they are VERY useful!

As for plain old smoke nades, well, if you get five people all throwing them together, it does look quite funny, and it's great fun to jump into the smoke and get knifing.

BF2142 smoke nades are a joke, especially compared to smoke nades in COD4 which work like a charm

Except for the fact that they are instant kill and, in my opinion, much more deadly than PKs.

They're instant kill if you manage to land one right at the guy's feet, which is really only consistantly possible if you're above them (and even then it seems dodgy). While PK rockets can't OHK, they can kill in two hits, and since you get 3/4 per salvo as opposed to just a single 20mm, and can be adjusted to explode at just about any distance, they pale in comparison.

Guys, it is only recently, and I mean 2-3 months ago that I found out you can scroll range, I normally use them as something to either split enemy, or confuse them in thinking a primary attack is coming from a different angle
