Meh, good for you guys. I'm having a blast in ARMA2. It does take a bit of getting used to, but I love the large map with either a sniper rifle (haven't been able to set up the darn head turn right yet, keeps looking completely over my sholder) or a transport.

Not a successor but after watching the trailer and gameplay footage, it looks awesome. The more realistic the better. But, it looks like it could be a great game as long as the engine is half decent.

i got it in a store.

Arma2 is far to "hardcore" game to be the successor to bf2, most bf2 players wouldn't even have a clue what was going on. Also for any form of fun its needs to be played in community or clans with massive amounts of teamwork and cooperation. its not a game for the mass market.

Well i never did find a store that carried the game (thankfully). So instead i went ahead and downloaded the demo. I'm not sure what to think. The graphics are awesome and i wish BF would really try to match this game in the visual dept but when it comes to game play i am torn right now. I been playing the game for 2 hrs and im not even though all the trainings yet. The controls are endless but i am trying to work through that. The audio is just down right HORRIBLE. Its so bad that it actually erks me when i hear other soldiers talk. They all sound like computers running windows3.1. It's so bad that even Johhny Five from short circuit is laughing at them.



People are saying the same game is a huge hog but i system seem to run it fine with everything on high (no skipping).


Well i might give the game another try later. Right now its back to BF hero's and just praying for BF3 and 1943.

Key words, S-spec q9550 (you could overclock that thing like mad, runs cool as ice) and a 8800GTX; yeah, I would say your game runs smooth as butter. Skip the training, you learn through trail and error on the field. The training didn't teach me anything about how the load out works. I heard you can turn off the AI communications, might wanna give that a try. I need to put this game back on my notebook.

It's far too rigid, OFP2 might actually be fun. There is nothing more frustrating than a developer trying to mimic the actions of a man holding a gun to a T. It does NOT work on computer games, that's why you have paint ball and the sodding Army.

Wait until fall and the GT300 based cards to come out, even if your still interested in a GTX295 it will be cheaper.

Yup thats what i am going to do.


Oh, i also did buy Arma 2 and right now its a love hate relationship.

Hate: BIS released this game when it was NO WHERE NEAR ready for release. Lots of bugs and coding issues effecting performance.

Love: The graphics are very nice and game play is fun. Is it BF2 ? No. THIS GAME CANNOT I REPEAT CANNOT be compared to BF2, its a totally difference kind of game. When the patches are released for this game it will be amazing.
Right now i am hooked (feels good).


Will i get BF:BC when it comes out for PC ? Hellz to the yea ! :salute:
