You don't need a macro to do that Crunch... Just hold down your control key and see what happens.
Hes not dolphin diving, hes jumping and then proning. I'm pretty sure the term dolphin diving comes from pre-patch days in BF2 when you could spam prone and dive up and down constantly.
You just can't do the same thing in CoD4 or CoDWW, but you can jump and prone when you land. You don't really gain much of an advantage over it unless you have the element of surprise, but then you could have just walked in there instead of making yourself a sitting duck
Not to mention going to prone isn't instant like in BF
You can't bunnyhop either so I don't understand what the fuzz is all about

I don't really see how big of a problem it is though. If I were a server owner and a certain player was being a liability by being so much better than everybody or made people leave because of his/her playing habbits, I'd remove them from the server. Server admins/owners want their server to be popular, and what I described is something that they don't want in their server.

You seemed to have misinterpreted what you're replying to there.
I was saying that not everybody has the same preference as you; therefore, you saying that servers that don't allow dolphin diving or bunny hopping are bad doesn't agree with everybody. And not that many servers are really filled with admins that kick for killing them a lot. I've been in many servers in many games, and very few actually are how you, and many others, try to describe.

well imagine you liked servers setup on a certain gametype and in a standard way with standard server rules. Now imagine you wanted to play on one of those servers and you couldn't as you were banned from them all. Please tell me you can understand how that would be a problem for you?

lol so its all my fault i play well and should be punished for it by being banned even with no rules against a certain playing style? i think its pathetic for people to be banned for just being good at something.
Imagine if they did this in real sports like a football match, one player was doing really well scoring goals all the time and keeping the ball so all the players on the other side started whining to the referee that it wasn't fair and he should be banned from the match to keep them happy.....how retarded does that sound?
Basically some people just need to learn and adapt....if i was new to a game and saw someone playing really well and beating everyone i would watch them and learn how they play to improve myself.....i wouldn't tell admin to ban them or rage quit the server because i was getting owned as that wouldn't help me and i would remain a noob.

i think you misinterpreted what i was orginally saying in my orginal post, anyway i know what you were saying and i never said i thought servers that don't allow dolphin diving or bunny hopping are bad so stop putting words in my mouth (see i can play that game too). I know that not everybody has the same preference as me and thats why i only go on servers that are in my preference, if i go on a server and a rule pops up saying "no jumping allowed" then i would leave the server. would i class it as a badly admined server and post on forums saying is badly admined and everyone should avoid it?...No, its just not set up how i like but maybe it is for others.

well unfortunatly i seem to get on a lot of them, maybe you just are not killing them enough? :)....or maybe you were lucky and have found some really well admined servers. i'd ask you to share them with me but i suppose they will be US ones which i wont go as i like a low ping.

hehe calm down. They didn't ban me for that and there was no rules against it. Read the sensible posts above which explain how bunny hoping and dolphin diving isn't possible in cod (in comparason to something like bf2)
Oh and i was using cover....what do you think diving behind and shooting from behind all those walls was? Or maybe you think "cover and tactics" is sitting in a small hut camping with your gun pointed out of the window waiting all game for someone to walk past? :)

You may not be able to moon bounce like in BF2 but jumping up in the air to avoid fire is still considered bunny hopping and again dolphin diving has become the name for anyone who jumps up and then goes prone. Both activities can be performed in CoD5.
Just because the can be done does not mean they should be done. Part of the attraction of this game and others like it is the immersion factor: antique firearms and historic locales help create that atmosphere. A bouncing US Marine hopping about from place to place ruins that atmosphere. Hence, many people's disdain for 'bunny hopping' and 'dolphin diving'.
