and for what? to go and have a yelling competition with some 15 year old over voice chat, shame on you, by the way PC gaming wants to divorce and 50% of your stuff :p

I'm not turning my back, there just isn't anything new or original coming (in terms of games that interest me. I know there are some).

Plus, as for the 15 year old comment, you've obviously not played BF2 and CSS with voice comm enough.

EDIT: Actually, i lie. BF:H looks like a laugh and i still enjoy TF2.

^^ there are more to come (hopefully) good game for the PC, as for the preteen yelling, you are right its everywhere but i prefer to use TS with civilized people, another reason why im still PC, and my 360 is sitting there (mostly because im broke and i cant get BF:BC lol) but other wise i like to game AND still have the internets in the same place. also my zune works on my PC and 360 hehe. dont lose faith and you shall be rewarded with great games.

Another thing was that i am moving into a house with mates next year, and console gaming will obviously be greater. Each of my 3 housemates have xbox360s' despite one of them doing pc game design.

PC gaming is fun, but its the biggest waste of money. All these people who have top of the line systems, look at how much money you have put into it, its ridiculous. You can get a PS3 for what? 350? It needs no upgrading, nothing at all.

The constant upgrading annoys me about PC gaming.

And, the silly thing is, that Gran Turismo 5 looks better than a lot of PC games, yet the graphics card is equal in power to a 7800gtx.

All they have done is tuned the hardware well and worked closely with game producers, and hey presto, you have great looking games!

I play my PS3 for a mess about, not for any real "competitive" or real gaming I guess I use in more in a social aspect, work mates and Uni friends compared to the PC which generally I play solo or with TGN whores.

Meh I like a bit of both, but the PC I suspect will always be the primary time killer for me. The main reason I actually bought a PS3 was for GTA4 and MGS4. It's all good. Send me your PSN when you get one I'll hit you up online.

No most people use analogue AV cables like (there included) these for older CRT TV's they only do 480p @50/60hz Eagle18 uses this configuration PM him im sure he will be happy to talk

Nope free, although not mega reliable compared to 360s £40 a year. In-built wireless too.

Well, after enjoying PC gaming for a few years now, it's just getting tiring. Copycat games, buggy releases, lack social mutliplayer (I.E. Playing with mates) and needed expensive hardware just to play the game it was meant to be played.

Recent PC releases prove my point, and the only game i'm holding out for is BF3, and that doesn't look like it's going to be around any time soon.

So, i'm going to buy a PS3 soon. I traded in my PS2 for £40, sold my computer case for £40, and am saving. One question, do i need the 60gb version or is the 40gb fine?

I was saving up for a new graphics card, but, i think my money is better spent on a Playstation 3. Is there anything else i need like extra peripherals or anything when i buy it?

Lastly, my monitor has HDMI input, can i connect my PS3 directly to it?
