G36E vs L85A1

I'm only putting out what the numbers say. L85A1 has a higher zoom so it's easier to shoot at someone far away. It also has a higher deviation, so it's less likely to actually hit what you're aiming for.
With the L85A1 luck is more of a factor in hitting things at a distance than it is using the G36E.

The first shot on the L85 is really accurate. And since that gun has a decent scope, thats usually all you need

Yea i single shot or burst the L85 at range and full auto up close as this gives me accuracy i need. It sort of handles like my precious Baur from BF2142

ok, maybe its because im kinda noobish, but before i couldnt make any kills with the L85. I was so excited to unlock it but when i started to use it i felt it wasnt that great, although i can make a few decent kills with it now for some strange reason (when i say decent i mean 10 per round)

i prefer the L85 because i havent made any kills with the G36E when i pick it up off the ground.

Well i have played around 10 hours with the gun since i got back to BF2 and although it can be very unreliable and the deviation of the bullets is almost stupid, i do find it easier to kill people with than the G36E.

The only thing i dont like, the first bullet shot from the L85 is dead on accurate, then you can wait a second for the recoil to adjust and fire another single shot and it will be way off target, making single shot sniping hard with the gun.

All of this is pointless though , unless bf2 comunity has changed in 2 months g36e is still the most used

M16 and AK are the better guns in my opinion.

L85A1 is good at long range but has f-ed up recoil.
The G36E used to be my favorite gun but not anymore since it is just to easy and when training a little the M16 pwns it.

p.s. ...anyone ever get 5 kills out of one clip, with an L85? (and not get accused of hacking) ...thats a little more luck than I'm used to.

I have, a number of times. Since the L85 has 34 damage, it's capable of one-shot kills to the head. I've gotten several head shot kills and then followed up with CQC kills all on one clip.

Regarding L85A1 versus G36E, I prefer the L85A1 because I don't want a 3 shot burst every time I click Fire. I want the ability to shoot one shot with a quick tap or 2-3 with a slightly longer tap.

I agree the L85 sounds weak when you're firing it but it sounds better when you hear someone else shooting it, which seems odd that it'd have a different "external" sound but it seems like it does to me.

Ak101 and M16 are better choice than either the G36E or L85A1.
I used to play with the G36E a lot, but since I moved to the Ak 101 and M16, there is NO going back. AK101 will kill anything at close range and single shot at long range or not that hard to pull off. M16 is just perfect in medium and long range. Very accurate.

Lol why are ppl claiming that M16 is better than G36E? Stats obvioulsy prove otherwise when G36E does more damage is more accurate and has the same rate of fire...

Good question. I mean, I <3 the M16 more than most, but I would never admit that it's better than the G36E because that would just be incorrect (or biased at the very least).

Regarding the sound on the L85A1, I agree it's rubbish in first-person perspective. Then again I don't like the sound of the G36E either. AK101 and M16 sound pretty sexy, though.

I like both guns.. but yet I see people geting 30-50 kills & 1-20 deaths in my usual server with the l85 & those using the G36E get 10-20 kills & 1-30 deaths
