Why do people who take the second fastest, most agile, highest firepower, well armoured weapon in the game, which scant few other weapons on the map can engage and then kill slow, two dimentional, one hit to kill targets that don't have the firepower to shoot back and think they've done something special?
The ability to redline is a blessing.

you must have some real self asteam issues. i swear, every fuking time i come to this forum its some self centered egoistical garbage thread about how awesome you are. if you could just wipe the astroglide from your sweaty palms long enough to go out in the real world you'd probably realize just how much of a dickhead you really are. 29 years old and your starting threads that look like they are from some nitwit 13 year old who gets the sh!t kicked out of him at school everyday, you should be proud......and very very lonely in the real world im sure.Comment

Start by learning how to write and then you can dispense the insults. Mmmk? Thanks.
Shake what your momma gave ya, kiddo. Why do people who take the second fastest, most agile, highest firepower, well armoured weapon in the game, which scant few other weapons on the map can engage and then kill slow, two dimentional, one hit to kill targets that don't have the firepower to shoot back and think they've done something special?
Ultimately, nothing we do means anything, seeing as we're going to fade out of existence in a measly 70 years or so... but while we're here, let's enjoy ourselves.
If that means hogging the best vehicle in BF2 because we're good with it, well... awesome x11ty billion.Comment

I know its fun to slap people, Sloi, but make the video. Make this effort actually fun, hehe.
No, it really is pretty ****ing dry.
LMAO. You mean "mouse and keyboard moving skills", presumeably."those with sub par (mildly speaking) helicopter skills"
But yeah, nobody gives a flying **** if you redline or TK at will. I'm having a lot of fun redlining & TKing "l33t s0l03rz" who have more hours behind a computer than seeing daylight and roughly 4 times more time in a helicopter alone than I've been playing this game.
You see, it works both ways, and personally, I think this thread is more of a "I have no life and I'm ****ing proud" rant. Maths doesn't lie. Don't see any l33tism from jet whores, funnily enough.Comment

While I do agree somewhat, its up to everyone else to see Sloi through. In the end, its the joke on the weaker kind. If you lose your temper over such kind of trolling, where noone is really targeted, you deserve to be ridiculed.
Not if I use a joystick :laugh:LMAO. You mean "mouse and keyboard moving skills", presumeably.
Anyway, a skill is a skill. Multidimensional movement requires better coordination and more practice. AKA more skill. People who lack in it, are vocal about it, if they feel its being used with an unbearable efficiency against them.
Remember when people were b!tching abour Serial and telling him he has no life based on his "stats"? And then he revealed that hes making 6 figures a year, works in a major automobile company and has his own business? Yeah, thats how much the "u hve no lif3" insults work, and once people lost that ground they went after the photo of him wearing a pimps suit. You see, it works both ways, and personally, I think this thread is more of a "I have no life and I'm ****ing proud" rant. Theres plenty of l33tism from infantry players though. Look around.Comment

wow, and your a server OWNER, not just a player but your sooo obssesed with bf2 to buy a server and run a clan?Comment

It's a ****ing bitmap for christ's sake. Personally I play purely for my own/immediates' fun and I'm not ****ing fazed by some knobhead trying to redline me - that's just adds more fun to BF2 spending the next few minutes making their own game hell, and my own game fun, and funny.
Uh, the way some of these people strut their stuff, it's as if they got those 5000 hours logged in an actual heli in Vietnam/Iraq or something and are retired Generals who just happened to buy BF2.Not if I use a joystick

As for the "unbearable efficiency" argument, please stop. You or him can repeatedly click your mouse button at the "Post Reply" button all you like, a hellfire really isn't going to take out my house any time soon. You can't demonstrate "unbearable efficiency" on a forum.
Good thing I'm not "people" and there's a slight clue, that given someone happens to be in their 40s, and BF2 only came out 2 years ago, that they *might* actually be successful and have absolutely nothing else to do. I don't really see any problem with the pimp suit either.

On the other hand, if you're anywhere from 10-26 years old, and happen to have racked up roughly 6000 hours in the game, there HAS to be major issues there. I mean, assuming you actually eat, sleep and **** totalling 12 hours a day, there are only 8760 hours FULL TIME in the period since BF2 came out (2 years and then some). Now of those, only around half are in daylight. Do the math. No **** you'll be able to guide a bitmap across another bitmap like the second coming of Jesus Christ, but you'd probably ****ing dissolve if you went outside.

Which is why getting upset about it is just as retarded as bragging about it. Look at it from this way, one group whines because they think the game is played unfairly, the other group ridicules them because they think its funny when people ***** and moan. One group is clearly victimised and takes their game more seriously. It's a ****ing bitmap for christ's sake. Personally I play purely for my own/immediates' fun and I'm not ****ing fazed by some knobhead trying to redline me - that's just adds more fun to BF2 spending the next few minutes making their own game hell, and my own game fun, and funny.
Only that this thread is far more obvious, as trolling somewhat implies to a subtle approach.
Again, turn this around. In servers and forums, some people whine and cry so hard that its as if they have died 5000 times behind their keyboards.Uh, the way some of these people strut their stuff, it's as if they got those 5000 hours logged in an actual heli in Vietnam/Iraq or something and are retired Generals who just happened to buy BF2.
Its ridiculous from one angle, but if it didnt count for sh!t, why get so upset about it?As for the "unbearable efficiency" argument, please stop. You can rack up 2-4 hours easily, per day. Thats about ~700~2400 hours a year, which may end up being ~5000 hours in 2 years. Ive yet to see someone top 4000 on their Xfire, and if they did, it was on WoW. Im sure youre not lacking in common sense if you realise that indeed some people do have more time to play videogames. They just have more time. Not to mention that some bugger are genuinely good learners and can rack up "bitmap chasing skills" in ~100 hours or less. And naturally if someone is better than you (generally speaking), they have "no life".On the other hand, if you're anywhere from 10-26 years old, and happen to have racked up roughly 6000 hours in the game, there HAS to be major issues there. No it's when a person has almost more hours playing a game than there are working hours in the same time, and when they start a topic on a public forum blowing their own trumpet about how righteous they are while being an *** by any other name and then claiming things aren't important anyway makes them have no life. They acknowledge they have few days on this planet, but they will spend their time indoors being asses to people randomly assigned to their team and then argue they are right about it.Comment

Who's getting upset over anything, aside from the OP? I'm only here to point out a simple fact, that nobody except other low-lives care whether or not you'll move your e-copter to the e-redline and get them e-killed.
Too bad for them. They're grouped in with the l33tists.Again, turn this around. In servers and forums, some people whine and cry so hard that its as if they have died 5000 times behind their keyboards.
See first point. I thought we were "discussing", i.e. the whole point of a forum. I don't remember whining about his l33t s0lo0 s|<illz (yes, so l33t it has to be spelt in ASCII), and I can't really remember being on the same server as anyone having g0d-l1|<e fatal1ty s0l0 sk1llz either. Well, there were a few. I saw them on the MBL a few days later. And they weren't banned for losing key packets either. Its ridiculous from one angle, but if it didnt count for sh!t, why get so upset about it?
2*365 (eat, ****, sleep deducted, to mean BF2 has been out continuously for exactly one year) = 730 hours. Either more or less hours than I have on this lovely game within a margin of +/-100. That's nearly an order of magnitude less. 4*365 = 1460 hours. Again, roughly 1/5th of 5000 hours. I'd say 400+ would be casual, 400-1k => a little too much time, 1k-1.5k => obsession, and anything above is a bit too much (but as you know, some people just have all that free time). 4000 hours is insane, as is anything above. One of these l33t s0lo p1x3l gu1danc3 eng1n33rz was boasting that "2000 hours in the gunner seat of a heli alone => barely at his l33t level". But hey, I don't think I'd want to stoop that low.You can rack up 2-4 hours easily, per day.
Then you're forgetting things like unranked server play, and multiple accounts. Xfire and even stats themselves aren't accurate enough because they're recorded only while they're running. At least stats whores have all their time whoring points on record. That's about +0.00000001% towards social status.
And remember, common sense applies. For the age range I said, you should usually be either studying, or working, or screwing and with 4k of hours even, one of those has to take a major hit. People who have "free time" usually happen to have the "package", i.e. wife, kids, car, house, *insert expensive possession here*, etc. And that tends to happen well above the age of 30.
We aren't talking about them. And you and I both know that's a crock of ****. NOBODY has a natural affinity for lag compensating on the BF2 engine, knowing exactly where the engine places its hitboxes, etc. All those come in the 800 => 6000+ hour bracket. Not to mention that some bugger are genuinely good learners and can rack up "bitmap chasing skills" in ~100 hours or less.
I mean, I could guide a killer TV (low ping, mind) and hit more or less everything in my path after a few rounds practicing offline (considering all you're doing is moving one JPEG into another, it's not actually that hard), doesn't mean anything whatsoever relative to 3000 hour fuelled "GODLIKE SOLOIST / Pixel Guidance By Repeated Mouse Clicking Engineer" skill.
:laugh:And naturally if someone is better than you (generally speaking), they have "no life".
