I doubt anything will be done.

I don't think anything should be done honestly with the sites/providers, if people want to point a finger, blame the people using them.

This is like everyone blaming gun makers for crime, it just doesn't work.

Hopefully the hosting companies will do the ethical thing here and none of that will be necessary. I am not blaming them for what these individuals are doing, however once they are made aware of these activities, I do expect the to take the appropriate action to stop it and none of you legitimate gamers or server operators that pay upwards up $4,500 a year supporting theses games should expect anything less.

10-15 yrs. from now, no one will even remember BF2 and there will still be hacking sites (if not more). There's plenty of things you can do with your time, mate.

10-15 years from now I may be dead and then I won' care either.

What you are missing in all of this, is that what I am doing is not only for BF2 specifically. This is for all on- line games and the legitimate gamers that play them.

I can see where your coming from there lightbred, but I'm fairly sure no one has thought about it as seriously as Mitch has here and taken this all the way to the FBI and INS. Sure its likely for this to take months upon months, with possibly a dissapointing result but this is a perservering effort that he should be commended for, he's sticking up for all of the gamers out there that dislike hacking and taking the anger at the hackers to another level. Great work Mitch.

It's not his place to think about it. If anyone is going to do anything it should be the game companies place.

Fair enough. If your sites "hacks" don't use DOS attacks thats fine. However, there are other ways to crash a server (intentionally or not). Like I said there are other illegalities involved. They might not be perceived as important to the authorities, but that doesn't qualify them as "legal".

According the record, I never mentioned that my site doesn't have DoS. Integrity, people!

Thanks for clearing out the off-topicness, but some posts were kinda slightly important.

Just to refresh the little slightly important stuff that was deleted:
1) I don't care if I'm not respected here
2) My site's hacks aren't illegal

3) I am only representing my site. Other sites may be illegal or doing something illegal, I'm not saying they are fine. They aren't. So doing investigations on those sites are fine, just check to see if they are doing something that's bad first. :)

Well apprently they those company's have not, and probobly will not do anything. Mabye they think that these hacks are what keeps there games popular and they they want to leave hacking sites alone? All it takes is a few people to take this thing all the way through and get to the bottom of it. The reason there is skepticism is first off, it seems impossible. People know hacks have been around for years, and I can understand why people are so skeptical. Secondly, you would think, why not just let the game company's deal with it? Well there have to be some obvious reasons for that, reason that I'm not even sure of myself, but I'm not sure anyone else knows this 100% either. And thirdly, it is absolutely his place to think about it. He is a customer of EA, a company that manufactures these online games, and he has every right to question EA's or any other company's motives about these hacking sites.

Even if the hacks dont get them in that much trouble that stuff with the IRS is really going to hurt them. Think about it within a year of making all that money off of hacks they could of easily evaded tens of thousands of dollars in income tax.

Think about this for a moment....I think that the wrong means are being used to achieve the goal.

If someone were to torrent a paid hack, then we'd all have it and we could ALL unite behind it in a show of force to the only people that can really fix it...EA.

For example, if we all got the same hack, installed it, announced over the intardweb that we're going to mobilize and use it on ranked servers at an undisclosed date and time...and in a real show of force followed through with it all, trust me, EA would respond. PB would be forced to respond.

If 10,000 concurrent players were all using hacks for just 2 hours on any given day....it would get attention.

That would never work, and then about 10,000 bans would be given out. Due to n00bs who would get kicked my PB, rejoin a another server. Get GUID Banned, and then they just lost $50 for a game because they are worthless n00bs who are hacking in a internet game.

@Sir. Tasty, yes they do. But with all these new games coming out with PB. PB support for old games (BF2) is sadly dieing. Soon hax will be flowing out the door for CoD4.
