It all comes down to teamwork.

However, I feel sorry for those who think teamwork means "do the best to help your team win".

When you teach someone to gun and you both have fun doing it, there's more than one winner there.

When you help your team win...well you feel good about winning - but you haven't really done much to enhance the experience of anyone else. Solo'ing is fine provided you can't find a gunner at all. If someone gets in and truly wants to learn....teach them. Be a good gamer. Don't redline them because you think it's their fault that you can't get laid (sorry - had to put some bias in there).

Meh. Coke vs. Pepsi argument really.

Well when define a true chopper player and get endorsements from websters, you can tell us all about it. Until then - even a "true chopper player" is a coke vs. pepsi argument (ie - an opinion)

                  PS: Cherry Coke

You're wrong about this only being an opinion, Troy: read my sig if you want a general idea why you're not in a position to give an educated opinion on the subject. If you want a more detailed explanation, here's a link to the BF2 thread about the study. Enjoy...

One can have an accurate idea of how proficient he is without being highly proficient at the activity. I am not good at raping with the helocopters, but I know how good I am. I don't have the best IQ, around 140, but I am usually pretty good at estimating my abilities.
Also, even if I am poor at something, I can judge whether or not someone else is good at something compared to someone else. I.E. I am not a world-class gymnast, but I can watch two people who are and determine which one put in a better performance.

Do all your post have to be so belittling to others?:shakehead Does reading the study further strengthen your view that you are a good helicopter pilot who is in the top % at soloing?

In all seriousness, there wouldnt be so many posts in my account if it wasnt for people with no experience at all, giving out "facts" and opinions as if they were professionals. They dont accept reason, because they are too ignorant to understand what "truely goes on". Ignorance breeds confidence more than strenght does, and its shown around here very well.

You dont see me giving advice on infantry play, or how things "should be". The moment I see someone give a more throughal line of words of infantry play, I recognise it being superior to my little experience and learn from it. Many people cant do that.

Its not that Sloi is at some TOP, he has VAST luggage of experience in the area that you simply cant match. And he has done it all. Hes been gunning WITH someone, flying FOR someone, solo flying FFARs and now solo flying generally. Hes also done a lot of research and his sh!t is posted all over the web. If you cant aknowledge THAT, and still try to come off as someone with superior knowledge than his, even though thats not true, you deserve to be belittled.

I wasn't trying to sound arrogant/condescending. He just behaved exactly as predicted, and that's one thing the study described... it's kind of funny, really. :)
