there is a big difference between a wanna be sniper and dedicated sniper.

1.they will spot targets for you

2.they don't all play karkand ,wake,oman,drangon valley,yes maps with view distance beyond 400m

3.can kill you beyond 400m "keep you're g36e"
mine's a head shot with the l96a1

4.use claymore's effectively ,i.e no suicide runs in karkand

5.save you're *** when the enemy is sneaking up on you "yes you probaly missed the whole thing"

sniping is great,i like my long range fun,but also enjoy some svd fun in cqc.

also a good sniper will save you tickets due to low death count,and defend that flag that's no where near the action.

im not going to knock other kits,they have there purpose on the battlefield,just cracks me up when i hear players say sniper's suck they do this that ect...

play the kit..learn the kit...then have a go at knocking it.

oh as for bunny hoppers easy to hit..if you time you're shot to them landing

comepletly true, the only people who hate snipers are just the ones that don't know how to kill a sniper, i hate how j-10 pilots complain about claymores (no offense) their both the same, a legitimate kill.

you really know why people dislike snipers? it's because people get sick of getting killed by them. the "lonewolf" crap is....well crap. first off, very few people actually care about teamwork, and those who do will know that snipers can be quite helpful.

Yes, I agree. Given that its great fun now and then to go "leasure-sniping", not caring about the outcome of the match but the satisfaction comes when you feel part of the overall strategy that leads to a win. A lot of the time I don't rack up more than 10 - 20 kills per round but somehow they seem more important than most of the insane rush kills that you see everywhere. Not that other kits are less important, its just a matter of preference.

Just came back from an awesome round sniping and flying on Dragon Valley, hoppin out sometimes and sniping from that tower with the "4-tube-things" on top. great spot! Sniping people out of their J-10, killing pilots over the helipad repairing, crashing their choppers --> killing their gunners,.....you got to love it :laugh:

I find it most satifsying to snipe people who have important kits, or mount such assets.

That's what a real sniper should do, take out important characters, ex. officers. That way you benefit your team by not giving away your position too often and continue to kill.

I used to be obsessed with sniping, it's still my number one kit according to bf2s, but recently I've just been flying transport helos picking people up and dropping them off where they need to be.

Sniping can be a lot of fun. The best is sniping other snipers.

Also fun is staying unnoticed while raining random death down on people who have no idea where you are, especially if those are multiple headshots on some poor devil the medics keep rezzing.

Me too, except, as the pilot, I decide where they need to be, and I decide they go underwater or rendevouz with a friendly or enemy tank.

nothing beats shooting a Z10 pilot and watching it come crashing down with the gunner having no idea the pilots asleep behind the wheel

experiences have shown me the gillie suit works insanely well, ive been afk on the phone (i often play at work) with little time to hide so i just prone next to a shrub or tree and the amount of times enemy soldiers have almost walked over my head is just funny

i guess im a sniper whore but i rarely use my claymores because theyre too dangerous around friendlys (i had some jackass claymore the entire hut at southvillage.wake, spawned right on one, punished for the tk and had the idiot complain he was 'covering his ***'..)

^^^^ i dont use claymores but there is two exceptions

1.) FF is off

2.) I turned the corner and more than 2 enemies are there (certain death for me) so i drop a claymore to help me get over my death :)

you're only there for a few quick kills, dropping claymores and stealing the j10...

yeah if ure not heard the commander finds you in seconds, the sniper should be invisible to commander's assets. (i know its not and all that other crap on the other thread)

Most of my time as sniper iis spent as squad leader behind enemy lines providing a spawn point to each flag.

How is it not beneficial to have a long range defendable spawn point? with claymores:laugh:?

I just love picking off enemy snipers, tank gunners, fixed machine-gun gunners, jeep drivers, anti-tank in buildings. It's just pure bliss.

Dont really understand why snipers are so despised.

they are not really team players.

lol, thanks for that. Its bliss camping the airfield at Wake, shooting 5 people out of the J10 before stealing it!

Wouldn't that almost blow it up?

Doesn't 6 or 7 shots from an M95 to a jet almost destroy it?
