Only the default (TGN Light) theme for now. Dark them is also coming back soon. Then CSN. Then Wrestlin' Nation. A lot of WIP stuff right now. There are a couple of things still not working either. Sorry.
What I want is the SVD's bullets replaced with autocannon rounds from the Mi-28. Then I'll play I/O Karkand to my heart's content. Even better, make it the RPK.
mashtuur is much better then karkand imo. I think its that mashtuur is a square shaped city which allows for flanking instead of in karkand where you have to do a front on front assualt.
I think Ghost Town is the best city map, becuase of all the sniper opportunities opened up with special forces tools and apaches and just cause its plain old fun.

Sniper Opportunities? Meh, I didn't really like that stage as a sniper... then again I need frontal assaults to be effective as a designated marksman. (A sniper in the fray.)
I personally love Ghost Town if I'm going to play as Assault... There are so many perfect spots to drop dozens of people with that beautiful Grenade Launcher it's not even funny. :salute:

There's not really very many good sniper spots on ghost town where you won't be quickly seen and killed. But have a few that I use in moderation and can go 30 - 0 in an IO round if the rest of my team manages to hold a few flags in the city.
This is one of my least favorite maps, and yet everyone seems to like it and half of the servers at any given time have this map on. I mean what is it so special about this map that the rest of the maps don't have? Is it the city fighting? There are other maps in cities too, Sharki, Mashtuur, Ghost Town, Warlord...
What is it about this map???
because the US gets an uncap only if it caps main mec base which no one ever is at then it gets 2x the armor. It's basically another one sided rigged map.
Karkand is so popular because it's is a great map!
It has everything a nice city map needs.
Allthough nadespammers are a pain in the a$$ on IO it's one of the best maps in BF2.
I love Masthuur, Sharqi and Ghost town too.
Specially Ghost Town where it's so cool to drop artillery on those 5-10 snipers on the same roof, LOL!
Karkand is the worst map. Overrated, overplayed. Everything about that map is horrid. Karkand is the worst map for CQB. All it is is half of your team nade spamming, and the other half whoring it up with the cover of the grenades. Not good for firefights, fog is too thick.

Claymores work best on karkand.
They don't work any better on one map or the other. A claymore is a claymore. In Karkand, you spam it by hotel like a d*ck. On good maps, you use them to protect yourself.

Well this regards the Karkand players and not the map. But I agree, the problem is that Karkand is mainly used for statpadding and pointwhoring rather that to play the game.
