Re: Why is Karkand so popular?
because the squads are infantry based where as long as you have an AT guy around you you can not be pinned by armor or an attack chopper.Comment

Re: Why is Karkand so popular?
Sharqi would be more popular if it weren't for the Mi-28 and the insane splash damage of its 30 mm cannon. It would help if USMC had an uncap base too.
Mashtuur would be more popular if it had more armor. One tank per side isn't enough.
People mostly play Karkand because of the proximity of the flags, there's lots of armor and lots of quick action.Comment

Re: Why is Karkand so popular?
because it's fun. jets & choppers aren't as fun to me.
yes, it does get boring, but only if you play the game too much. if you play less than an hour a day like i do (now) it's fine. if i want more i go play PR.Comment

Re: Why is Karkand so popular?
When people start playing a warfare game, they don't loadup the game and say, I am going to be a jet-whore, no, I am going to be a tank or helo whore. Nope, you start out as a street-fighter, because thats the easiest way to learn this game. Pick up a gun, aim it at an opposing player, and learn how to kill them without dying. Then as you learn, there is more and more added to the equation, such as tanks, jets, helos, commanding, and so forth. You start on a street-fighting map, and Karkand is right up that alley (pun intended). Then as you realize there is alot more to the game, you venture off onto other maps, but then also realize you want to get better, so you go back to Karkand, to learn the map and improve on weapon use. Then when you have learned how it all works, you want to fine tune it all, and play Karkand, because thats a good place to test what you have learned. Then when you get really good, you play Karkand because there is lots of learning people (noobs) to kill, and yet good players also, to test your skills on. Most, certainly not all, but most players are basically street-fighters. I am, and yet I have over 300 hours logged into helos. But, street-fighting is where my heart is. Sure, I ventured off to learn the rest of the game, but I still spent most of my playtime, street-fighting ...which means most of my hours are on the best street-fighting map. Oh, hey, and thats Karkand!Comment
