It has nothing to do with being weak. A stiff spring is uncomfortable. A stiff spring has longer response rates.
Throttle control for helos in BF2 environments is a bad choice. Joystick + KB throttle would be the best JS combination.
Ill list a few comparision categories for those who genuinely want to know.
Accuracy- no difference
Control response time and getting maximum maneuverability speed faster- mouse, but keyboard and gamepad actually are faster
Soloing- difference is really negligible, however you need to line the chopper up slightly more to the left with a stick to make up for those extra milliseconds
Key displacement- obviously JS wins here
Mouselook- you can make JTK take care of that
So theres no real difference between a JS and Mouse except for the following-
control response time, it takes less time for the mouse to reach maximum control surface angles for maximum maneuverability potential.
mouse piloting is "goofy" and adds to the unpredictability factor in a dogfight.
