My personal opinion is that TK'ing on purpose is never justified. Play somewhere that has admins or understand that smacktards are everywhere in this game and it will happen to you on occasion. I would kick on sight anyone that I saw purposefully TK'ing another player no matter what the reason because I would be more than happy to handle the problem if the "victim" turned potential TK'er would simply ask for help.

Here's a typical convo with a server admin;

Admin: "Guys, don't TK or I'll kick and ban you"

Retard: "No, you were standing in front and it was an accident"

Admin: "If you guys are TK'ing peeps I will ban you."

Screw that. Now I deal with matters in my own way. People don't learn when you keep forgiving them and letting them get away with asshattery. They have to learn the hard way - by learning that if they ruin your game, you can ruin their game much easier.

Taking the law into my own hands has worked wonders in the past. Especially on servers who kick/ban for 3 TK's. If someone was being an amazing jerk, suddenly they would find themselves kick/banned for killing me 3 times. That was a pretty handy feature to remove the retards without crying to an admin - then the rest of us would simply carry on and have a good game without them.

I see your point, but we don't have those kinds of problems. At the top of my screen I see every TK and what weapon was used in the TK (localization files rule!). I also see every single punish and forgive.

You're right in that we don't have admins on every single minute of every day, but if we do have admins on then the problem gets taken care of immediately. We have automated kicks for negative scores, several punished TK's and so on.

As for getting a "perfect ping" to a server with an admin. Any ping less than 100ms is totally playable and I don't know where you live in the world, but I would imagine there is at least one server within 100ms of you that has admins online.

Are we perfect? Heck no. I can guarantee you that if I missed the original TK and you didn't request help and then I saw you TK someone in retaliation that you'd be the one getting kicked and/or banned. Contrary to popular belief, admins generally want to provide a fun, competitive atmosphere so that people play in their servers.

Do whatever you want, but I still stand by my word that TK'ing is never justified.

I like to teamkill idiots..for example a support guy who wont give you ammo, a pilot/driver who wont give you a lift and many more. Its the only way with not being able to shout at them to tell them they are a douche.

They shuld get rid of the stupid points punish thing...they shuld do a slay punish insted...i wouldnt mind sitting out 15seconds if i accidentaly kill someone, but those -4 points hurt :P

ADMINS ARE NEVER THERE! ive seen people vote theyr *** off for entire rotations and nothing happens....ADMINS ARE USELESS!

no, retaliation tks are just as bad......and in some cases could get you banned and the initial tker could be let away scot-free.

i always ask for an admin if this happens or take a screenshot and put it on the servers webpage.

Obviously no one is going to be convinced that TKing is or is not OK.

Best advice: Go hang out at a server that allows or disallows TK'ing depending on your preference.

Since i think TK'ing is immature (translation for spelling impaired: TK'ing is for idi0t n00bz) I spend my time on servers populated by decent admins and they usually react when I report TKers.

Hell yes I think TK'ing should only be done if it's a jerk. I was repairing my APC once and this jerk just runs right past me(bumped me) and jumped right in. I had my wrench out and jumped in front of the APC and he pushed me outta the way.........Glad there was a TOW next to me also, cause I wasted that punk. Sure enough I saw the punish about a half sec later! Best punish I ever had. I rarely TK if someone gets to the APC before me, even if I had been waiting awhile.
