100% of the time, TKing is not OK ...if I see someone purposely TK a clanmate, 100% of the time, I will find and TK that person as fast as I can. If someone TKs a clanmate, they can expect to have to TK every one of us they see. I could care less about score or who wins. I am usually very forgiving about it, on accidents, and even if on purpose. I will report it to an Admin, and if they don't do anything about it, then I still will let it go, because I would rather avoid the person, than get into a TK fest, which doesnt accomplish anything. I also avoid servers that condone or do nothing about it. Nonetheless, I don't give a crap how its justified, or how self-rightous the reason, 100% of the time, Tking is bad for everyone.

It's not that black and white. Just like killing in self-defense is justified in real life, so is TKing in BF2 in certain circumstances: that you fail to recognize these instances in no way nullifies the justification for the action. The equivalent of that would be sending someone to a penitentiary for defending his life and killing an attacker bent on murdering him at all costs. It's completely missing the point: if you're flying with an inept pilot or gunner against a competent team in BF2, you are already a dead man. Forcing the good to fly with the bad makes for wasted assets, time and potential for tickets and a victory.

Again, there are cases where TKing is justified...

Sorry Sloi ...I cannot agree. First off, this is a game, we are not shooting real bullets, so your life is not in danger. What your talking about is your own personal frustration, and what you are saying is if your frustrated, you should be able to frustrate someone else. Sorry man, but you should be a bigger person than that, becuase you should realize that IN A GAME, real life rules don't always apply. In a game, you have to be more than you are. There is a thing called sportsmanship and class. Sure it makes you mad, it makes the guy mad you redline too. But NOTHING you have said justifies forcing someone to see your own personal way of things.

The only time I tk people is #1. accidental splash damage, misplaced bombs-

and #2, when some ****tard has placed C4 all over some friendly transport vehicle......blow their head off ASAP.

Whenever someone takes your tank/jet/heli/apc, you have the right to TK him.

Just to be an *** sometimes, I tk people for vehicles I don`t even want. Keeps the boredom away.

I'd say yes, it's okay to do so. The 4 or so times I've done it have been all accidents, one time I respawned next to a prone sniper, moved cursor over his body and it showed up red, so I blasted him only to discover it was actually a teammate. The few times somebody has TKed me, I'm assuming it was on accident so I forgave them.

Also, what are the consequences of choosing not to forgive a TK? I've only had this game for about a month (just bought a PC good enough to play it and found it at the store here on base for 9 bucks!!!)...

Sounds good. As I was reading this thread RE: TKing somebody while waiting for a plane/vehicle, I was thinking about a similar situation I was involved in. I hadn't yet flown a jet, so I entered a large map and waited around for one. Naturally, I crashed about 4 seconds into my maiden flight, so I went back two or three more times. Some guys must have gotten tired of me, so when I respawned there were two other guys racing toward the jet spawn point. We were all standing there, ready to press E as soon as it popped up. I stood there pointing at their heads thinking to myself how cruel/awesome it would be to TK them and have the jet to myself, but my sense prevailed and I decided to wait it out. I'm sure the other guys were contemplating the same thing...in the end I didn't get the jet.

It's a grey area. If you put C4 on my chopper, tank or plane, then yes I will most likely TK you. If you stand on my chopper, infront of my plane or vehicle of choice without moving, I'm going to run you over.

However, TK-ing someone out of a cockpit with the M95 'cause they got there first is just f****** lame.
