    You either

    A- Had zero opposition, or
    B- Had poor opposition.

Do the same thing when people like me, runitsyourmama, zman, etc are around (that's not even considering jet pilots) and see how long you stay up. After a round against any of us, you'll understand.

Go on, do that then, and show everyone. Somehow I doubt they'll be as impressive as you say they will be, what with your 29 hours experience in heli and 1000 kills...
That calculation is useless because anyone could hop in a heli, stay back and watch the minutes accumulate. KD in the vehicle is a much more valuable statistic: in combination with time spent, you get a clear picture.

KD Ratio: (Kills + Road Kills) / deaths

Efficiency: (Kills + Road Kills) / Time spent in vehicle

I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt who is good and who is bad based on the results of these two calculations.

I am a n00b because I redline? i red-line because I want to HELP THE TEAM!!! If the gunner is not helping, and no one else wants to gun, why should the chopper sit idle and maybe even get stolen giving the enemy an advantage

I know what an exploit is, this isn't the first game I have played It is not an exploit, it is a skill if anything, making sure you don't crash or get killed. It doesn't matter they were not made to be flown and gunned by one person, but because it is a game and not a sim, you can.

I agree with you that this IS a game, but that doesnt make everything right. I never ONCE said that, as you put it, "it doesn't matter if they cant in real life be flown and gunned by one person". I never said it did matter. Im saying that IN THE GAME they weren't meant to be flown by just 1 person. Before you post again, go find out what "exploit" means like I already mentioned.

Dairuka, I still don't like you and your political jibberish still doesn't belong on a forums board such as this. With that said, this thread encompasses exactly what has been pissing me off alot lately. I've been taking retards that don't know what the TV missile is to the out of bounds region way too often lately and then they try to get me kicked like it's uncalled for. Let me make something clear here: The objective of you and your team is to win the game; you cannot win the game if valueable assets such as the AH1z of JSF are not utilized effectively. I hope to god some noobsters read this and decide it's better to practice and improve their flight skills in empty servers. 'Tis all.

            Succinctly put...

            KD 0-2: GTFO
KD 2-3: You'd better perform, or you're GTFO
KD 3-4: Odds are you'll be decent, but don't miss too often or I'll politely ask you to take your leave
KD 4-5: Now we're talking... we should get along just fine
KD 5-X: No problem, hop in and let's rock

That's in no way the final word, but it's accurate enough to be worth mentioning.

I like that, but there will be some people like me, who have a ratio that doesn't really reflect their skill. Mine is 1.8 but I took a long break last summer and at that time was just learning to solo, but now I have gotten good and it will take awhile for my KD ratio to go up since I stay away from servers with more than 15-20 players.

              Sick ratio BTW Sloi

I completely understand what you're saying bud... I was almost exclusively a pilot for most of my time on "sloi", my original account.

"Sloi" before soloing (only pilot): 140 hours 2000 kills 1000 deaths (2:1)
"Sloi" soloing period 60 hours ~13500 kills 2500 deaths (~5.5:1)

Even then, I get rammed so often that in reality, my ratio would be around 8:1, maybe a little more. It's also the reason I say my little classification system isn't the final word: a lot of people have used their original accounts for so long that their 2:1 really means 4:1 because of the experience and skill they've amassed.

Obviousely you DONT know what an exploit is, if you think that switching seats to gun and fly is not an exploit. Sure it takes skill, but thats doesn't make it not an exploit. It does matter if they were not made to be flown and gunned by one person, because doing so means that its an exploit. Just because you CAN do something, doesn't mean you should. If you think that this is not an exploit, explain to me why EA/DICE patched the game so that it would be harder to do? It wasn't to make it more challenging. The reason they made the changes to the helicopter is to try and stop people from doing this exploit. It was the only thing they could do besides not allow you to switch seats at all.

I may not be a world class solo'er, but I have gone up against exceptionally good solo'ers, and jet pilots before. I do hold my own. I've even TV'ed a couple arrogant jet pilots who thought they could circle me over and over again like a vulture.

I was never against Solo'ing, I just never vocally advocated it before.

                      I'm now a supporter of Solo'ing.

Re: Flying and gunning is easy.

I cant solo, and I am too lazy to learn, but I can fly, but I can totally understand the frustration of a crap gunner. Those are the times I say adios and bail over an enemy flag...hopefully he gets the idea and takes over the pilot seat lol.

Most of my helo time is in the transport flying my squad over to flags and halo jumping out of it...even then my chopper KDR is over 2. Considering I mostly fly, I dont think its that bad. But I will never solo, I will always pick up a gunner. If he sucks I bail, simple.

I prefer to be on the ground anyway.
