i would still flame them when their being a retard

stats really mean nothing. They just repersent your average mode of play. I know people who are amazingly good when playing with their clans but have relatively below average stats because they just mess around so much.

i dont agree with you people who say stats mean nothing. They do mean something, and they can tell you accurately how good someone might be. You can't just look at k/d ratio and tell how good they are. Someone who likes to be sneaky might have a high k/d ratio, but hardly gets first. Someone like me might just run out and kill everyone i can in no hopes of survivng, so i get a low k/d ratio, but get high points. If you take all their stats for example, k/d r, w/l, kills and deaths, points, experience, etc etc, then u can judge how good they are or get a good idea. Yes everyone has different stats, but it reflects their style of play for the most part.

My K/D ratio is <1... I think it's about .88.

I feel like I play a game with a bunch of idiots, and could care less if someone thinks I'm not leet. It makes it even better when I wallop them.

If BF2 didnt penalize you for suiciding, I would do it to respawn at different locations that needed me faster. I've played competitively in TWL, OGL, etc. but never in BF2, just pub so it really doesnt matter I guess.

The stats system should really be the average of the data collected in a cumulative timeframe of the last week of play. That way you'd get a relatively accurate stat chart, people wouldn't stat whore because it would be pointless and people who rarely play wouldn't see much difference in their stats.

I have a k/d ratio of 1.64 with the assault gun. 7,500 kills.

I'm just into a positive KD ratio, mainly through learning the maps and playing smart and I've been playing online shooter since UT99, so I'm no newbie.

Stats mean very little, I've seen people with huge scores but high KD ratios but check out their SPM and they are all high. It's how people play and the BF series give players the chance to play different styles and not just concentrating kills as is the case with most FPS games.

Bugs and all, its a lot of fun to play :)

I have a positive KDR with all kits, lowest been 1.20

Ahh most likely if you got it this month your K/D is gunna be good if you have common sense once you get past the 5000 kill mark tell me your K/D.

looking at k/d ratio is not enough

you need to look also at score per minute, as that shows how productive the player is (kill-wise and teamwork-wise)

someone can have a k/d of 20, and yet if you divide the number of kills into the number of hours they play, you can see a really crappy player who just camps and get a few kills here and there for the entire hour

a good player is someone who has both good kdr and good spm

IMO SPM is more important than KDR.

High KDR just looks pretty, and who cares about your stats anyways? Now high SPM actually reflects higher efficiency (less time, more points).
