Exactly, they're jumping because they're avoiding hit detection. As I had said earlier, the other players ARE hitting them, it's just not registering properly when they're hopping about. This is why there is such a raging debate across many games if it's an exploit or not.

I agree with you that dolphin-diving (or at least a slower version of repeated dive->proning remains), I've posted a topic regarding that and the apparent 'increase in accuracy' afforded to those who have figured out how to exploit it.
It's like the developer wanted to include the "OMFG, i pulled off the most amazing shot today" moments in the game, so programmed it in. "OMFG, this guy was shooting me, then I did a jump->strafe->turn->triple axle->dive->prone and totally shot this guy in the head BAM!" :/

Wrong again. I don't bunnyhop out of choice. I'm at the top of the charts most games, without doing so. Many of the deadliest players that put me down are also not bunnyhopping. They're very good shots.

I can do it and complain too. I know how to dolphin dive still. It's just so completely lame that I wouldn't want to be associated with it.

And whoever called my comments stupid just proves your ignorance. You entirely missed my point. Yeah this isn't America's Army, but it isn't Quake either. I bet you wish surfing was in BF2 too.

You don't need to "bunnyhop" (whatever it means) to be good. But without knowing everything and every single tactic and thing you can't be the best or beat the best. If there are two players equal in skill but the other knows how to move he will win. No question about it.

totally agree, non stop moving is the key to avoid enemy fire.

I'm confused as to why you posted this? Did I say you need to bunnyhop to win?
I thought I said what you said.. in which case we agree LOL.

You said you don't bunnyhop. I don't know what you mean by bunnyhop, but for me hopping and stuff means moving effectively to outcome and shoot back at anything thrown at. May it be tank, sniper or anything. Now you say you don't hop I assume you pretty much suck at it because you tell you don't use it out of choice. If you'd master moving, it would be next to impossible to not use it and vice versa. And I wonder when did you play the hundreds of hours of infantry, hopping around to become even decent at moving.

When one starts playing he usually practices aim and weapons and shooting styles. Then he learns to move, but moving disturbs his aim and other things, so he limits moving into things he can master without decreasing his lethality. Eventually one will learn to move without moving disturbing his aim at all. After a while he begins to eliminate unnecessary complexity out of his gaming style. When all unnecessary things are taken out, it all starts again, but without any noticeable difference between phases this time. After maybe thousand hours everything is silk smooth, and even smallest change in the game will be disastrous. Just like 1.2 and 1.4 patches, where all the delays and limitations were added. Thats when all professionals quit because they couldn't take it. You can't just change something learnt and practiced so perfectly over the time. I hope you now understand what I mean. And sorry off topic.

yes, you might not suck at the game but to what standards? you may not suck in a 32 player wake island server, but go to a 64 karkand, or even better, swiftys bfpro pub, and its a different story bub. refusing to bunnyhop because you think its "gay" is just hurting your own skill.

ummm, no they get messed up the same, as say strafing left and right. Prone spamming messes up hitboxes, not bunnyhopping, because your not coliding to animations together.

then I guess sprinting perpendicular to your target and circle strafing is a "well known exploit" too...

Because it worked, and it was effective, and took alot of skill to kill these people. but no... your precious stats get *gasp* ruined when they kill you, so people whines to EA and now the game is some americas army wanabe rip-off, where movement is clunky, and the game isn't fun anymore.

                    rubbish....... absolute ****ing rubbish!!

some of the crap you whiners spout is just stupid.

a moving target is harder for the spraying player to hit. theres no bad registry going on, theres no magical extra hitbox lag and theres no extra leading needed.

well i cant tell if the hitboxes are messed because i dont run across many bunnyhoppers(amazing! i even play karkand all the time!) but if you shoot while someone is in your sights, the bullet should hit. obviously. even if the person is hopping around like a ***.

The thing about lag is that while you see the opposing player at 180 degrees to you, the opposing player is looking right at you, or very close to. In other games it's nothing like this, but the point is, this kills circle-strafing. The only times it seems to work in this game is when you have a 20 ping, or if the other player is utterly blind.

use a sniper rifle and see how many jumping players you can hit, you will find it piss easy.. far easier than shooting a sprinting player.
but nubs still miss..? cos they are crap! and then they whine here or on ea forums. the same idiots that whined about jumping and shooting and what not and probably the same idiots that used to shout hacker all day long in counter-strike.
