I do it when I run into impossible situations... Like when your run straight in to a tank with no sprint left.

If I get into that situation, I either accept the fact I'm going to die (but hey we respawn :) ), or I try to get in close to the tank to buy some time whilst I plan an escape/wait for the sprint to charge.

Bunny hopping is never called for imo.

If you want to look at my stats, all you have to do is look up ent|ty.bf2 it's right there for anyone to access anytime they want.

I can't believe that after they noobed down the game by removing both the ability to jump and shoot and to squad hop, people still complain about something as basic as bunny-hopping.

Judging from the complaints, lots of people have a hard time hitting more than one or two keys. But that is what the 'no bunny-hop servers' are for.

I wonder, do they have 'no bunny hop servers' in COD2, ET and MOHAA, CSS, DOD etc, where you can still at least jump AND SHOOT? Actually I believe BF2 is the only first person shooter arcade style game where you can't do something as basic as jump and shoot. BF2 is already almost as boring as America's Army, but AA is for realism junkies, BF is not.

Isn't bad enough they also removed the squad hopping, while still allowing you to see where every enemy soldier on the map? Its' like playing BF1942 with a giant hack in the sky.

Now I read people asking for a 2 second delay between jumps, is the nerfing ever going to stop?

Guess that explains why I have pubbed less than 2 hours of BF2 since 1.3 was released.

I mainly play IO RtJ, and if Im sniping and a group of guys rush me, I bunny hop whilst reloading. Its either sit there and let both the noobs and advanced players nail me, or hop and at least avoid the noobs.

You have your pistol for that. I wouldn't bother to reload, i'd just take my pistol, go berserk and waste em all. :P

Sad but true, I think BF2 playerbase's average skill dropped by half at that point :/

But you have a very good point. Why are BF2 players different? Are they just less dedicated (play less, noobs) or just more dumb or what is wrong with these people?

You guys that ***** about people who bunny hop or dolphin dive are funny.

Look in the mirror.. who sucks if the person behind the gun can't figure out how to kill someone that isn't shooting back, and just jumping?


Me, I will bunny hop and dolphin dive my a$$ off. Why? Because that will make me survive... BF2C has specific training on infantry combat and theres a dolphin dive type move we call the "falling leaf" or something like that, so everyone knows what it is.



Bunny hopping is just jumping over and over again.. it's kind of pointless to complain about it, because when they are doing it, they can't shoot back.


Dolphin diving is still possible in 1.41, and prone spamming is gone with 1.4.

All the first ones are dolphin diving and the very last one (the call it the worm or something) is prone spamming.

I am utterly confused by your post, are you saying you raped the server? or that you yourself were raped? All I know, is if you raped them, you are either a pretty fine player, or most of the clan members were not there. I know I was not, I had more pressing concerns tonight.
