I have read a few posts before I decided to post my own complaints, so please don't think I didn't do some research first. I need to drop some dimes on a couple of servers who kicked/banned me for no good reason other than I was on a hot streak and they felt threatoned. Don't get me wrong, I understand it's thier server and I am just a visitor, and for that I thank them. However, when I am banned for "Excessive TKing" when I damn well know I didn't TK anyone, that's a different story. Does anyone know who I can contact to complain about these servers?

Even though it isn't relevant to this post, go to http://www.bfroe.com and report it. If you can get some screen shots,fraps or BR footage to report it cause it will help speeds things up.

In my capacity I would never feel the need to post a chat log publicly. Chat logs are for in game and not public consumption, regardless of the circumstances. The only time I would contemplate posting a log is when someone has either been:

Dont really understand, thats your opinion. Most of the time it gets drawn out to totalbf so why not beat them to the punch? The chat log is just showing what a complete jackass he is. No harm in that.


The thing is, I have been on plenty of other servers, admin poorly, or things wasn't feeling right. I didn't ***** and moan to people in the game.
Their is the neat feature, its called the "ESC" button, then another neat feature called "disconnect". Unlike alot of things that dont work with BF2/2142, those do work.

Not to hard to do, but alot of people just like to make their E pee-pee bigger by raising cane in the server or on forums.

Also, for those complaining about posting chat logs on here... Chat in a ranked server is public territory. Anyone can connect and anyone can listen. It is NOT priviledged/protected information. Acting like you are breaking someone's trust is preposterous.

It's like claiming that some has broken your trust when someone overhears you and a friend talking in a cafe and then tells others. Puhlease. And the whole log is extremely useful. Editing it to just show what YOU think is relevant can easily distort what happened. Let the unabridged log speak for itself.

Sloi, I have much respect towards you, regardless of whats been said here or whatever, but you came off as a bad loser. Tell Lady Luck to fvck off, shrug that off and thats it. Nobody likes to lose, but a little self control is always good.

I don't understand you sometimes, Chris. I always look forward to reading your posts, but your abnormal appreciation for Sloi is baffling. He is, and always has been, a tardnugget himself. This log that R2 has provided only reinforces my stance on Sloi. Like I said, I used to really enjoy reading his posts, until I realized he was so full of himself it colored his opinions on what was what. Now I can't believe he has any clue of what this game is really about other than him proving how god like he is and teaching "scrubs" he is the dominate force.

A decent person would have simply disconnected and gone elsewhere. Sloi instead felt the need to express that even in having an off-day/bad connection he should be recognized still as a solo-god. That people he misses due to lag/connection/whatever should immediately feel gratitude that they are still alive and just suicide immediately while chanting "ALL HAIL MASTER SLOI!" just to be fair to him.

Clearly Sloi is not a decent person. And this is extremely relevant to these forums. Personalities are all we have on forums. They are critical to understanding a person's opinions. Anything to help us better understand all of our personalities on these forums I find useful.

I have noticed that a lot of people use the excuse that it goes right through people. Just last night, I was "training" somebody in, and he kept claiming it went right through the chopper, when I could plainly see that he missed it. Maybe it is just what you are seeing, IE the server is not right for you, but you probably missed. Not trying to insult you, just what I have seen. When I solo, I sometimes see my missile hitting the chopper, but no kill...it is just a problem of internet gaming.

That doesn't mean that on his screen that it didn't go through..

You were probably seeing more accurate server-side info than he was.

It happens with me and chodda sometimes.. like it will be a straight shot, and I aim him for it, he says it goes through the chopper, but I watch it miss, but I know for a fact on his screen it went through because he is good with tv missles.

What is everyone arguing over? Sloi said some stupid things - no doubt I have in moments of utter fustration, the worst thing you could do is use make fun of someone else's ego in an attempt to boost your own, or maybe in this case your clans own. This is a spam thread, not worth the bandwidth it used up. Maybe this is best kept in your own clan forums for a laugh, because here it gets turned into a burning building mixed in with some sprinkles of drama. Both parties are embarrasing themselves, Sloi for responding in the first place, and R2 for posting it.

Another problem with posting it here is you get posters like me writing my own little opinion, even though I wasnt there and have no connection to either.=o

Like I said previously, my client saw wildly different things. Keep in mind that I played exactly the way I do elsewhere (and it so happens to work practically everywhere else, so I don't think I'll hop on the bandwagon and blame myself) and that my "misses" only happened in a very select few other places such as FHM and (this might give you a hint) higher latency servers. The displayed ping was simply wrong... I looked at it again: in the browser, R2 pinged 150-175 and the in-game number was around 80-90. Big difference, wouldn't you agree?

Well the hitbox is server side and the graphic on the plane is client side is it not? So surely the image you see on that video lags behind the hitbox the time it takes to get to the server, get processed and get back is it not?

Just thinking out loud here so correct me if I am wrong.

That is a battlerecorder file, as close as you can get to what the "server sees". Also, it being a tank shell, as opposed to first person guided missle view, there is nothing for the server to interpet for the player.

Well I can assure you if you got banned on our server it wasn't for a hot streak. We post evidence in our member area forums for just this sort of reason. The only exception is our auto-bans for 5 punished tk's, and those we clear out pretty often. I have only once seen a person so hot it made it no fun to play on the server, and yes he was banned but not for winning, but for breaking the rules. And no, it wasn't you!

As for our server, you are not listed on the ban list as this screen name. However we did just clear the ban list a few weeks ago. I would bet good money that if you were banned by us it wasn't for a hot streak.

um, its just a game. Besides everyone has a bad day once in a while.

Well in reality it's not a "public" server, it's funded by the members and the public is allowed to play on it. We set our own rules within the ROE and we pay to maintain it, and we spend many hours keeping it up. It's not a matter of fear Signa, it's a matter of not doing all the work so classless folks can benifit from our time and money. If they have such a great clan let them get their own server.

I don't understand you sometimes, Chris. I always look forward to reading your posts, but your abnormal appreciation for Sloi is baffling.

I pointed out that he was a bad loser, I dont think that what he did was right. Everyone of us has our moments and when youre immersed in the gameplay, or have an extremely bad day, sometimes you break. If you look at the chat log, youll see that Sloi had an exceptionally bad experience with his team being useless (or severely underpowered), and the hit detection issues. This means 2 things, his team didnt do, or couldnt do what they were supposed to, and he himself couldnt do what he was supposed to do. Thats a pretty bad combination. Now, all these people ganging up means that they too were looking for an excuse, and since they clearly did NOT have a lag issue, they were probably just sucking.

If youve seen Slois videos, you would know that he is damn good with the TV missiles, and Sloi as a name has a certain value and reputation to it (dont confuse it with stats). Sometimes people feel they have to protect that reputation.

There are tons of factors, but as you can see its all a lethal combination, which doesnt make it all right, I know. Im just saying I actually understand him. Im a bad loser myself, and I like it, because losing motivates me, drives me forward, causes lots of sh!t too.

Then I see those people gang up on him, and I remember my dog days. When some people arent doing their part, expect you to do yours, and when you fail because of force majeure and post a comment to let the opposition know that it wasnt their skill that took me down but the circumstances, those same people gang up on you thinking its cool.

It doesnt make much sense I guess. You probably have to be a bad loser to appreciate it :p

Everyone gets upset at some point or another simply because of game mechanics; be it puffs of smoke when shooting enemy soldiers, missiles randomly missing J10s, or TV missiles that "should" have hit their target. It's obvious his comments are just him venting. Why you would post someone having a bad game is beyond me. My money is on you guys having similarly bad rounds and spouting off similarly. Fortunately for you, the other players had a modicum of respect and didn't post your chat logs on a public forum. -1 KARMA point for all.

what I meant was, any ranked server cannot be passworded, hence its public.
