If you can solo good without the use of macros, then you are a very well rounded chopper pilot/gunner. Don't be haters just because they own you.

So no, solo choppering isnt the "true and only" method, its actually a secondary method, with a glitch to be exploited. I dont mind soloers, but I do mind people protecting it.
We've already tried explaining that to him, Monk... don't re-open that can: if he doesn't want to acknowledge soloing as a valuable skill, it's his choice.
IMO, if there is someone that wants to gun, and you take off without him, even if he sucks, you should be kicked and banned from the server. I am not saying it is not a good skill, but if someone else wants to gun, you should let them. If you do not, then you are a jerk. If nobody wants to gun, then by all means solo.
*EDIT* Btw, it is a glitch, and people complain so much about hotel glitchers, and other building glitches...."Oh they should be stat-wiped" "oh they should be GUID banned" well, if you think any glitches are wrong, than you should think all glitches are wrong, not the ones that give you, personally, an advantage are fine.

Anyone who cant learn to fly quickly in this game is a Noob who needs their hand held with this game. The choppers basically fly themselves and ANYONE who ever played Desert Combat knows and will Amen to that.
I was rather upset that it was so easy to fly the BF2 choppers because that means that many many people would be able fly and get cheap points

it takes more skill to not hafta switch seats.....switching seats is obviously a hell of alot easier than killing with the hydras, otherwise no one would switch seats...

dont get used to flying high coz if ur forced to go low ull suck, get used to flying through tight places, between trees and stuff like that, you will get more controll over your chopper, get together with friends and have fun in a local server or somethin, having fun and learning at the same time is great eh:p

There's a tremendous difference between the former and average pilots who can manage to fly without crashing into structures.
true! good pilots know the map, terrain, AA emplacements, safe areas, enemy vehicle spawn times, how to line up their gunners, know when to repair, know target priorities, know map priorities, know when to assist other team members, and generally have some dogfighting skills. :p

another thing a good pilot needs to know is how to stay in control lol, Ive had guys screaming while flying, like '' **** theres a chopper there, theres a chopper here, quick shoot him" making me go wtf dude relax
