I find the joystick way easier than the mouse.

I found the joystick easier to learn on since you can counteract bad inputs better, but after I became reasonably capable, I went back to the mouse.

      More precision.

I still fly jets with the joystick though.

I always crash with a mouse. I guess I am not a mouse person.

When bf2 came out y skill was still on the flyin chopperz in Vietnam. And it changed allot in bf2. The turning and al is way lower. So i thought ****ed up game. But i just learned and handle it now very well. And now i know why the change. If we could pwn in a chopper in bf2 like we did in vietnam then nobody and i mean nobody would be safe on the ground. Cause damn in vietnam you could spin very easy with the chopper and hit a target very fast.

            Re: Helicopters.........

I am an "ok" pilot. I can dodge some tv shots, but I can be had too. Unlike some really good pilots I know, that can dodge very well. (its almost a surprise when they get hit at all - thats how good they are) As a fairly good gunner, when I get to fly with these guys, my KD could be 40 or 50 to 1. With an "ok" pilot, it could be 10 to 1, or say get 25 kills and die twice. But with a poor (or inexperienced) pilot, it doesn't matter how good of a gunner you are, you may not get a chance. You could die 10 or 12 times to get 1 or 2 kills, and thats not worth it, just to give a guy some practice. Before I get a Purple Heart, I will quit getting in the chopper, go find a tank, or even change servers.
As far as Soloing goes, no, its not an exploit. Thats like saying unlocks are exploits. (and knowing the way people can complain, you could probably find someone to say that too). I actually hate soloing. Its hard enough doing one or the other. A good pilot expects a good job from a gunner, and a good gunner expects the same from a pilot. For me, trying to do both at the same time is just plain frustrating. A good round soloing is when I can get as many kills, as I do deaths. Any more than that, is a great round. There are those that are good at it, but I am not. I think its a heck of alot more fun to get 50 kills and die twice, than to work your tail off for 12 kills and die 10 times.
Do the math ...thats what stats do

p.s. ...ALL the best pilots I know fly by keyboard, non with joysticks for choppers

yea, it just gets boring when your pilot is dumb and you die 5-10 times in a row cos they dont even look for choppers or tanks (THE MAIN TARGETS).
get rid of them somehow and you end up using all 7 tv missiles in a few minutes and get anywhere from 5-20 kills per reload.
my avg has been about 20-40kills just from tvm. if i find a good gunner, they EASILY get 50kills and if they fly for me like i did for them, i can easily get the same.
