I'll add my 2 canuckian cents...

I used to play exclusively as a Spec Ops: partly because I loved the carbine and C4 (back when you could throw and blow, man those were good times), but also because the class has good sprinting speed.

Then I tried Assault and couldn't find anything to like about it: the same applied to Engineer (repair points were few and far between, along with being time-consuming to acquire) and Support (never liked the guns).

The AT class is decent once you have the P90, but again, it's use is far too limited for my personal style of ground fighting. What do we have left? Medic and Sniper classes.

The Sniper class only appealed to me for a short period of time during my "sniping" phase: after that, it mainly became a tool to ensure vehicle ownership.

So, really... the only logical choice for ground fighting, in my honest opinion, is Medic: fairly accurate and powerful weapons, the ability to heal/revive and finally, good sprinting ability.

It's just that simple. Medic has more advantages than any other class... so it's only natural that people would flock to it. Why is it cheap to use something that obviously works well? It would be stupid not to.

      Superhuman sprint distances...

I wrestled in high school, and knowing what I went through to be in shape(pretty much HALF the work the military does), the sprint distances are practical.

IO is fun...at times. And yes, I'm a medic whore, but when you see me on the top scores list, or the gold star, or even today with best heals, revives, ammo giving, blah blah blah, you'll notice that I switch kits to whatever position I'm getting myself in to. I use the G36E only when I'm USMC, cause I can not stand the M16. I'm good with it, but don't prefer it. Lately, since I've been playing a lot with my clan, I'll ask on Vent what I should spawn as, where I should spawn, what they need help with. My clan leader was blowing assets, so I spawned with him to restock his C4. The trill of "sniping" someone with a PKM is by far greater than killing someone with 2 trigger pulls from a G36E. But the game awards me for killing you, so I'm going to kill you any way I can, right? Say, you're being attacked by someone with a pistol...what are you gonna pick up? Knife, Pistol, Assault Rifle, or Grenade? You're gonna go for the rifle...cause it's your easiest chance to kill that person. So don't post that crap.

You don't know how others really are ingame. To tell you the truth when I read your post I looked at your stats and the first thing I saw was somebody who played medic most of the time and since you ranted about medic whoring you appear like a hypocrite. But then again I don't really know and I don't really care so I don't flame you.
Maybe your right, but I just want to say I didnt say anyone called me a noob. Im saying you calling me a noob wont phase me. And yes for the better part of my BF2 experience when I started playing I played mostly medic because it was the best class for a noob and I didnt know what I was doing, I knew it was going to be wayyyy different than 1942 so I did what seemed the most reasonable course, I havn't played medic for a while now. And while flaming is a nono in my opinion bunny hopping I make an exception. It wasn't supposed to be in the game and people still do it, that makes it cheating/exploiting and if you think im going to sympathize with cheaters your mistaken.

Back on topic since Im sure theres a J-10 thread somewere youll need to pop in and spout your usual nonsense defending the J-10 and how were all whiny noobers.

Yeah I just posted this cause last night in a fit of boredom I decided a round of IO kark might be fun, which it wasnt. I found it funny just how everyone is so cookie cutter, which made me wonder how can someone play a game yet do the same thing over and over again.
I admit I myself when i first started fell into the one kit hole (support). But now its to the point were the best way to experience the game is changing my kit every death..it just spices things up IMO. Every kit has a "way" to play on every map..and thats the beauty of it.
Engy is a viable option on IO, trust me. It just comes down to the fact you have to use cover and intercept enemies, you cant run willy nilly around but once close combat is initiated (flags/alleys etc..) you have an upper hand, and the kills are far more kick arse.

IMO the best unused class for every map, which people highly underestimate..Spec Ops. Firstly the gun allows for single shot sniping, the only rival to it would have to be the 36E (go figure a medic weapon)
Secondly, C4. So now you have gone from a class with a weapon capable of semi-sniping abilities with a somewhat excellent CQ ability (the dmg lacks as opposed to similar weapons; see 36E) But now throwing C4 into the mix gives you the ability to take out armor. Given the fact of the weakness of AT guns at a distanced coupled with the fact it takes a ton of rockets to destroy a tank/APC..Id rather take my chances creeping around planting it on them once they are close enough..youll find it much easier IMO creeping around or just letting a tank pass your area then going at that like a mad man AT rockets blazing...Most tanks are so hell bent on killing that if your skilled enough strafing a tank focused on one zone is incredibly easy.
I didn't read anything in the post except the first sentence, that was enough. I am a bit proud you would quote me with such a novel though. Anyway I hope you get better and they find the right medication for you. Best wishes.

          whiners, they never stop.

What I meant was, they will use the easiest way to get kills.

They will spawn camp with tanks.
They wll NOT fly F35B. They WILL fly J10, and they WILL attack uncaps.
They WLL rape the TV station on Sharqi with their MEC heli.

            Just faggy point whores.

What hes talking about is a little more sportsmanlike and and a little less cowardly behaviour.

People who never fly the F35B, never help their team (by attacking constantly UCBs) and so forth.

People need a big red medic sign as a safety blanket, or they'll feel inadequate.

It makes me shrug though, I always thought Variety is the spice of life; but it appears to me that too many people get Heartburn whenever they venture away from Karkand, and revive spam tactics.

I made several attempts to promote sportsmanship in BF2, but it's a lost cause. Most people will take advantage of anyone whenever possible, so I just return the favor: it's not a vicious circle because it's their nature to be like this. I was young and naive once, thinking I could change the world and make it a better place... :)

Yeah, forgot to add that its purely subjetcive and personal. If you want to be a good guy, youll be one. But most people still look out for themselves.

Congratulations! Your have 'matured' into at least as big a @sshole as anyone else. It's a good thing you've finally grown to realize that when life really just sucks, you can always contribute to the problem.

I can't believe the ammount of negative feedback in here. Point whoring by doing whatever it takes to get your points destroys the game for everyone else who wants to play the game for practicing skills and teamwork. And if you really just want to play the game for your own fun without care for other peoples gaming experience, why the hell do you have to play multiplayer games in public ranked servers?!

I hate to break it to you guys, but multiplayer gaming is a social network. You can demonstrate complete disrespect for everyone around you if you want, but, just like in real life social networks, you'll be a ****.
