    To whom it may concern.

    To whom it may concern,

How do you go every round playing the same class...and of course its medic.
As soon as I enter the server and check the ranks I know all the higher ones like you will be medic every round..doesnt it get boring?
Have you ever felt the excitement of beign the only one brave enough to be an infantry engy? Ever use Spec Ops other then to jihad? Ever use sniper to snipe...just to not claywhore it up, or use as an ejector for the vehicle you "own"?
Did it ever cross your mind you could get those class time and kill badges out of a vehicle? Is having 100 team points, self heals, and a god like gun more fun then spiceing things up with changing your class? Did your copy of Bf2 come with one class option? I can understand the guys under 50k needing points for guns...but whats the point of continuously being the same god class or sitting in the same vehicle..2 hours straight..
You just spent a whole round going 50-1 TV'ing every living thing on the map..you just spent a whole round revivng every person on your team 5 times and insta killing with your 36E/AK....You just proved that no creature on earth will stop your J-10 from raping every land, sea, and worhtless carrier on the map....seriously was it fun doing that over, and over, and over, and over..again..every single round.

    Thanks..

It's fun getting 10 kills in 1 second, having your name show up in the top left corner, but I mainly play infantry only.

99% of the high ranks I've seen ALL use the most easiest, safest guns, classes, jets etc... most of them looks for the eseast ways to get kills... that includes spawn camping in their armor.

One man's meat is another man's poison. I play medic alot cos there's more to do. I don't find engineer infantry fun at all.

My play style changes weekly. =)

Recently I've been playing nothing but 24/7 Ghost Town servers, as a Spec-Ops.

wow, now that is the way to b!tch. me, i personally like medic because of the G36E, the L85a1 and the AK's. the M16 aint bad either. i can give or take revives and heals i just love the sweet weapons that class has. you are right tho, i dont see how one can play any class for hours on end (medic included). i basically play what i feel i need to play to do well in combat. that tends to change quite often.

It's usually good to play what's needed. That is usually what I do, and often times that's spawn medic. Does that ruin my fun... no.

If you want fun take an M11-87 into the alleys of Karkland...
One shot = One kill; well most of the time...
                  Infantry only of course.

Re: To whom it may concern.

PKM, first of all, good thread, and a solid problem.

This thread wouldnt even exist if there was an Assault class, the Smoke-Mortar class doesnt count.

Medic is an universal anti-infantry class with the highest chances of surviving a conflict and the best weapon. Thats it, thats the selling deal. This has nothing to do with spicing things up or going extravaganza. People DO NOT WANT to die. And in order to not to die, they pick the best kit. The Medic kit.

I swear, I get more points by playing support, but I play Medic because I suck on the ground. And I dont want to die.

On the other side we have kits which in certain circumstances give you lots of easy pts. Snipers & Claymores.

As for jets, choppers and alike. From own personal experience I can tell- If I feel like I just dont enjoy the game on the ground, I take it up in the air. For me, flying a jet is like breathing fresh air after leaving a crowded room. Youre free, you dont rely on others, and youre good enough to actually feel like a winner.

I wish I had a comment about pilots/drivers/players who got stuck in the awful circle of stat addiction, it happens, but personally, when I felt like I was playing for stats/KDR/whatever, I dropped the game and went to SWAT4.

I'm a medic whore and I love it. You know why? This isn't big headed, but when I'm playing well, chances are my team will win. I concentrate more being a medic then I do on combat, but when it comes to it I'll win firefights time after time.

I love running around keeping my team on their feet, killing people when the chance comes and being at the front line driving my team to victory. The high scores are a bonus. I do play other kits, mainly support as I love a good old firefight and there's nothing better then taking out a squad of people with the trusty RPK.

If you like you can view my stats, as whilst not the best pilot around, when I do go in the air I tend to do well. I'm when I'm in the chopper I tend to rule the skies. I can tank whore as well, so all in all I'm a very good jack of all trades, with my best game being played on the ground.

The only reason why I play on the ground most is because it's what I enjoy the most. I bought the game to have fun, and I have fun being an infantry whore.

Also, I've actually bothered my *** getting all the expert kit badges, which most players don't.

im perhaps one of the few that will revive a teammate when they die even if im not using the Medic kit, i will find one close by and revive them. i tend to notice which kits people are around me incase they die so i can revive them it was a good round and a good few after that one :)

so most of the time you wont catch me using the same kit through the rounds

Re: To whom it may concern.

I get most of my fun out of having intense fire fights on the ground. So for me that means alot of city maps and a alot of time being medic since medics are the superior infantry class. I don't really revive much, only if I don't have to go out of my planned route for it and only if it won't get me killed.

People enjoy what they're good at, I had my times when I only wanted to fly or only wanted to tank whore or only wanted to ground pound. I'm decent at all the things now, so it happens that I play what's needed and are more flexible in general but only if it's fun for me.

Re: To whom it may concern.

If people find playing medic constantly fun, why does it bother you? Between first seargent and 2nd leiutenant i played medic non-stop...had tonnes of fun, got lots of kills and saw my KD rise from a patchetic 0.5 to an average 1.5. Like blood i used the RPk to mix things up, but apart from that i was mostly medic. (i would spawn spec ops or anti tank if there was a tank whore about or i was spawning at a flag being capped by armour etc..)
However, since i've been using the other kits in combat (been trying to get my expert badges), my Kd has slumped, my enjoyment has slumped, and worst of all i've gotten out of practise with the AK, RPK and M16. (due to vechile whoriung and using the carbines, shotguns etc..)

I would like to thank you PKM for making this thread cause it has helped me decide to screw the badges and go back to having lots of fun with my trusty AK and an IO karkand. I'm a whore, but i dont give a ****! I find it FUN!

                              each to their own. :)

                              FUN FTW!!!!!!!!!!
