I thought it was great back in the day, yeah it was whoring but it was fun. 2 engineers, 2 meds, and whoever else can fit in. It was fun because it felt more team orientated but i also enjoyed shooting blackhawks down with my AT rockets and getting 5/6 kills at once in the process!

Oh BH whoring on mashtur, just buzzin around with a crew with an engineer medic snipers and gunners. and a steady pilot who knew how to whore. I miss those days

It was awesome, made a new perspective into teamwork.

There was much more teamwork involved than the crap lame for whiners infantry only mode full of nade spammers and point whores.

While BH raping you also point whore but did it in a teamly cooperative fashion.

BH was FUN. but only when u got a good crew, i.e medic, support, engineers and the others could just spam grenades or c4 and everyones getting a point for everything that happened in the chopper.
driver got assist points for kills, resuplies, heals. the passengers got a point for everyone a gunner killed and maybe for heals/resupplies as well.

it was the teamwork and the mowing people down that made it so much fun. and if you were on the other team you could C4 kamakazi into it and get loads of kills cos it was always full

It was hurendus (sp?) - lmao the peep that said the nerf was the day he/she stopped playing.

Comments like that are what make this place, great place :)

lol, do we all need to go back to version 1 to remember how utterly usless the vodnik or Anti air was against a BH, even without having 2/3 engineers + medic loaded

The mean machine was too mean, fun while it lasted though *remenises* :)

Overnerfed because DICE sucks.

I mean seriously, REDUCED armor, only pilot can cap, and WORKING AA! I have never seen BOTH IGLA missles miss a Blackhawk even with flares!

Right now, it would be SOOOOO easy to take a BH out with all this! And one 50 cal would rape the living **** out of it as well!

Give it back its guns, at least a little bit of the old power.

Difficult call really, agree with a bit of the old minigun power being brought back slightly for full time 64 player testing via patch, but also agree with DICE + testers judgment aswell.

ho hum, doubt it will happen.

Although you will notice the BH is used much more on maps that need it only for transport, like Wake. Were as maps like Mashtuur were it was used as a mobile weapon, it's not used like that at all anymore.

Hmm basically the splash damage from the mini-guns was insanely good... I think just as good as the cannon on a jet. Also, with a full Blackhawk you could hover a flag and take it in seconds... that’s before they nerfed it so everyone has to actually get out. I think they nerfed the armor on them too... but then in another patch added more armor or something... I know they tweaked with the armor but can’t remember how exactly they did it or what patch it was... oo and also you could point whore to death in Blackhawk’s. Have the pilot as a medic, the mini-gunners could be support, have engineers and spec ops throwing sht out the back at complete random so the support guys got points, the engineers would work together in repairing it insanely fast (before they nerfed the wrench) and also the medic was giving health to people getting shot at sitting on the edge. One big community of flag and point whoring… ahh those were the days

I remember people desperate to take out the BlackHawk spawning as AT grouping in a minimum of 3 to slowly wear them down. You would need 5-6 to take one down fast enough before it flew away.

though the splash itself wasn't as severe (not as powerful)

you could hit the sidewalk next to the guy and hurt him.

also - the bullets didn't inherit the velocity of the bh - so it was point and click.

In todays BH - most bh raping whiners don't realize that you have to lead the target not where the target is running - but where the target is running IN RELATION to the helo's vector and speed.

I was involved in a well maitained blackhawk, engineers, the works on board..This was the result.
