A weapon's power has nothing to do with how many players should be operating the vehicle associated with it. If you're going to force people to use a vehicle with others, be consistent and do it for all of them: otherwise, shut the hell up and stop being a hypocrite. :)
Having access to hydra's and tv is having your cake and eating it, you are welcome to your opinions, but don't tell me to shut up for having mine.
Hey! The life of a kamikazee is honorable... ummm, well... so I've heard.

Consistency and balance are seperate.
I don't think Ayn Rand would agree with the way you used her expression. If you're going to force a second player in the helicopter to use all of the functions, make sure the ground players cannot switch to the mounted guns on tanks, or any of the other positions in the various vehicles found on land. Otherwise, you're fatter than I am with all of the cake you eat.
Did the video help anyone understand what my major gripe is about soloists?
As someone who got Expert AA the hard way, anyone who can cheat like that to kill me really is quite lame.

I would agree with you sloi on all bar light transport. I am not a greedy person so I will pass on the cake for now, but you have to admit by seat switching you have access to far too much firepower for one man, even though you may be damn good at it. Can you see the difference between a mounted 50 cal and a tv missile?
I have no problem with a skilled player using a weapon with maximum efficiency. Until I found out about the lock issue, I soloed quite a bit and got pretty good at it. According to my clan, I'm pretty good as a gunner and getting decent as a pilot. Being on TS helps with taking out the right threats, too.
I learned how to use AA quite well in order to help me learn to survive it when I started working on using aircraft. In that research, I figured out why the few times I soloed I died less when facing AA.
Seriously, seat switching in ANY vehicle has glitches attached to it.
Its great people can solo a chopper fantastic, but i've gotta agree with some of the posts here its a multiplayer game, if you're with a "noob" who doesn't know there is a tv missle say yo dude right click and use the TV missle to blow up that tank. If you're with a noob pilot and they don't know to line up your shot say yo, i need you to hover a bit and line me up. So i can get rid of that tank. And the issue with pilots purposely crashing the choppers just so they can get in the choppers alone, its dumb.
On another note though, if a server admin has a problem with it, kick the person doing it. Its point less to complain about it if you're not going to do anything to fix the issue. If you arn't a server admin, say something to an admin about it if they don't care leave and find another server. That's what i do.
People want them to be noobs forever, so they can look better. If someone asks me a question I try to help them out. I think that's the way it should be.
-A chopper, in the hands of some people, can reak havok on a server...
Those 'some people' are far and between...
-Others fly solo and with practise, achieve about the same...
Both will get banned from a server eventually...
The choppers are overpowered... There, I said it...
I believe that in a well admined server like the one Repent ownes, He will aim towards supplying the most fun experiance they can for the majority of players...
@ Repent...
If you want to understand a true solo lover, then imagine driving a tank and having to rely on, and pick up, other random public folks to shoot the main cannon, and they end up MGing the enemy tank instead... That is only funny on a drunk lost night, with a clanmate who is more drunk... And for an experianced clan team or solo-tanker, anihalating the enemy armour...
BTW, I don't think Jezus would be proud of your way of provocative replies here Repent...
Admittingly, we are all just human and it takes real faith and peace of mind to overcome...
It's just that, when I saw your signature, It kind of raised my expactation of what you could have said instead...

I'm not going to shut up, and you are the hypocrite.
Get over yourself.

I'm not going to allow you or Chris to start on my beliefs, we are talking about soloing helicopter pilots, exploiting in the game Battlefield 2.
I just expected, more compasionate behaviour from you, that's all...
Like, why do you respond here at all..?
To me, it seems just as much flaming as does Chris's posts...

The same reason you do, I have the same rights as you.
See, DooDah, the problem is that the internet is a hard place to convey "feelings" and "compassion" I always try to use smilies, so not to come off harsh, but it doesn't always work. <---Winking is a way to be nice, kind of like your buddy elbowing you in the ribs lightly after telling a corny joke.
Now if I used this smilie ----> <---- You would know that I'm mad.
This one here -------> :) <--------- He's happy
Please look at all my posts, I'm not mad, frusrated, or hateful. I'm just giving out my opinion, like everyone else, I'm not trying to hijack the thread and turn it into a religious discussion.
We're discussing Solo Piloting, infact the name of this thread is: Solo Helicopter? <----That was a question.
Hack Saw ask: "Sometimes I fly solo and I heard that when you swtich to the gunners seat jets can't lock on to you but when I tried I got blown up did this work in a previous patch or something?"
And then Sloi and Chris came in and Hi-Jacked the thread, and turned into a "Soloers have more skill than the rest of you n00bs" thread.
Try reading the entire thread from the begining, then maybe you won't be so lost.
You know what annoys me about all this? I can find so many examples of these f*ckers doing the same thing with ground vehicles: the only difference being they can't take people out of bounds. Otherwise, it's the same story in a different suit.
You're hypocrites and nothing you say has any value to me or anyone else at this point.
Liars can never believe anyone else. Cheaters always think everyone else is cheating.
They do it so that they can blame everyone else for their own inadequacies. It's THEIR fault that I cheat. If THEY didn't cheat, I wouldn't need to.
You won't find me doing any of this tardish behaviour. Not now. Not in the past. Not in the future. Not ever. It's something that a person with a lack of integrity simply cannot understand. Even if he has an IQ of ten million or something... Or was it 11 million?
