The 'noobs' had nothing to do with it. Most of those things were valid issues. The problems lay in how the issues were addressed.
Instead if making the countermeasures as powerful, the original weapon was always made weaker.
      Nerfing down not up.
      It killed BF2
couldnt have said it better myself

On the subject of macros...there's nothing you can write a macro for that you can't do by hand. Well, someone that has slow reflex may not be able to readjust TV's as fast, or prone spam, or whatever the flavor of the whine is. Players that constantly go on and on about "OMFG y0u macr0, cheet!!11!!" are more annoying than anything in this game.

I'm just glad I don't have to watch you retards hopping around while throwing C4 packs then humping the ground with the Dolphin dive. You guys need to stop whining and learn how to adapt, lol.

              Thank you DICE.

And whats left today is a bad plain counter strike acid trip where it is all about standing still and clicking, hoping for a random bullet to hit. 50%50.

Let me use the word noobs again, because noobs are behind all of it - I hope you are happy. Thanks for killing the game! I cant understand why dice constantly have to listen to those who cant adapt, the bad ones, the ones who get owned. And i cant either understand why those have to play with skilled soldiers good at for example avoiding bullets with proning and putting hs everytime, there are always servers with less skilled people. Still you have to do it and destroy for others.

Things like squadjumping and proning was something totally unique for bf2 and really made it something special to play, to meet good clans in infgames and win over them in prone was really the deliver of skill. I have never played a game before that involved so much skill and various techniques, but now its all gone, again thanks to noobs. People say its an bug and exploit, sure it is but it took bf2 too incredible hights. And the squadjumping added an unique intense tactical gameplay, but this was removed by dice for no reason altough noone wanted it gone.. :)

If good players, playing in clans had a hard time leaving 1.22 and there are still clans that never tried 1.3, 1.4 will be totally ignored. This is definately the the thing that will kill the community. Everyone will go over to qwars and the bfseries will end up as fiasco. Then for all i care, lamers, please stay on your battlefield servers..

I hope someone from dice reads this because its not too late, you can still fix it.
Yeah noobs did take out 99% of the good things in battlefield 2. Its not our fault they can't hit a bunny hopper, I myself do not bunny hop or "prone spam" but I have no trouble killing one who does.

I haven't played the beta yet..
But if there is a huge delay when proning down the support class becomes useless! Anyway you won't need skill to kill someone in infantry mode, no matter what class you are playing..
Proning will be for campers only...

I hope they don't destroy the game with this new patch because I really liked it. :hmm:

I havent read this entire thread, but is it about why DICE took out dollphin diving, bunny hopping while shooting and all the other stuff? Cause if it is then I'm glad they took out dolphin diving and bunny hopping while shooting. Never seen any of those tactics used in real life so i prefer not too see it in an FPS, and thats probably why they took it out of the game, they thought "hey that looks just plain wrong' so they pulled it out while creating loads of bugs.

I see nothing wrong with being able to dive and start shooting..the problem I see is the people who bounce around on there belly decreasing the size of there "player model" "avatar" (whatever) all the while having prone accuracy benefit. Yes hop to your belly, shoot, then get up and hop or walk...but to go rpone, fire and then hop around on your belly totaly defies(sp?) the laws of physics...I could train for years and years in a gym..yes I might get Bf2 jumping ability with a full pack, but my stomache muscles will never allow me to spring about on them.

Does anyone really want to play a game were the logical infantry tactic is to bounce around on your belly and shoot?

You never seen non of these tactics used in real life? I bet you have never seen someone catch a bomb in the head, then get shock paddles back to full health have you?

I bet you have never seen a tank get shot 2 times by another tank and have ZERO dents. I bet you have never seen a simple wrench repair 4 tons of steel aromer in less then 1 minute and 30 seconds. I bet you have never magically came back to life after you died. Im sure you have not seen big tanks and jets "appear" on a run way. Im sure you have never seen somsone pop there parachute 10m off the ground and still live. I bet you have never shot a inflatible boat in the inflation part and it not pop. Im sure you have never seen a J-10 take out a JSF in real life. While were at it, have you ever seen a guy running around with an ammo bag with ammo for EVERY single wepon on the battle field from pistol shells to 500lb bombs. Battlefield is not sappose to mimic real life completely. Get this through your thick skull(s) people want all this real crap, if you want real join the military and quit complaining here, if you wanna complain about dieing all the time, join the military, cause once your dead you can't complain.

Uh yeah, that's what objective means. Based on impartial evidence (e.g. fact), not opinion or point of view. Now that you are quitting BF2, you can put down the mouse and pick up a few good books on the English language.

I'd invite anyone who thinks that dancing in the street while under fire is a survival tactic to investigate other games. Better yet, try this at your local paintball park and post a summary of your experience.

This is a non sequitur. Though you are technically correct that BF2 has plenty of non-realistic elements, it does not follow that we should have yet another. Most of what you mention are for valid gameplay and balance reasons.

As someone else mentioned, requiring a tank crew of four or five where someone does nothing but load shells would not lead to engaging gameplay. In instances like this, realism must be a secondary concern. Similarly a single bomber could lay waste to dozens or hundreds of ground soldiers. Implementing this would be more realistic but decidely unenjoyable for ground troops who would be nothing more than cannon fodder.

Removing dolphin-diving adds realism without detracting measurably from gameplay* and balance.

                            * 12 year olds may be inclined to disagree with this assertion.

Battlefield 2 just isn't what it used to be. It was funner, way funner infact. You can jump and shoot in real life, image if we couldn't. We can jump and throw things in real life, imagine if we couldn't? I just think Battlefield 2 sucks ass now, they completely ruined it. No more teamwork anymore(Loved going around with the Blackhawk), and it seems more teamkills now. "Lets take away Squad jumping and see how the community likes it, even though no one fu-king asked for it", "Let take away C4 chucking, even though no one fu-king asked for it".
Come on DICE, your completely ruining the game, can't you see you loosing players damnit!
I just wish Battlefield 2 was back to when it was 'First Released' without all the fu-king bugs!

Good luck to your staff, and say thanks for fu-king it up for us .
